Any info on the purses yellowing? Do all the white D & B do this? Can it be avoided? How long before it does?

I picked up one of the large totes at UpTown Jewelers on Saturday...they had about 7 of them...I love mine!

It happens because of over exposure to the sun... so don't leave in in the front seat of your car or whatever. I'm sure it might happen eventually anyway, but the sun definitely speeds it up. My sister in law has had a white Dooney bag for probably 3 years and it's not yellow.

I think there is possibly more to it than just the sun. I have all my purses stored out of the sun in a large cabinet. I had not used my white Dooney for a few months and pulled it out to do so and it was completely yellow. Sun does not come close to this cabinet and I change my purses out everyday so they all do not show wear as much. I think it has something to do with the fabric and dyes.

AHHH! I think I would cry if this happens to my disney tote and wristlet. Does it look bad being yellow? Can you still use it? Can anything be done to fix it?

Look what my friend got me when she came to visit for Thanksgiving! I love that the castle is dead center and Tink is on the front. A full Mickey is on the back and a full Dumbo on the bottom too!

CM's do get 50% off this year for a few weeks. It happened last year for the 1st time. It is usually 40% off at the holidays.

I think this is the best placement on the smaller tote that I have seen! I love the castle being where it is! Perfect purse and how nice that your friend got it for you!

Just got back on Monday. We arrived on the 28th, but for some reason I didn't feel any urgency to find the bags. I saw a woman on the monorail with hers, showed my DH and he said okay (it was my birthday) so on the 5th I went to get it. Not an easy feat. First I went the the shop at the GF since we were staying there--none (except wristlets). We went to DTD to the World of Disney--none. We were told to ask at guest services about wether there were any at the MK. Guest services is attached to Trend-D, so the CM escorted us over there before calling the MK. He found a manager who said she manages all of the locations and there were none to be found. She said even the warehouse didn't have any and she didn't know when they would be getting more. So I told her that I had heard there would be other colors and asked if it was true. She got very excited and said they would be getting many new styles and colors. The one that stuck in my mind was a cross body bag (I had tried to find one I liked before we went, but no luck). She said they don't know exactly when they will get them, possibly by the end of the month, but probably by mid-January.

Gotta love my DH. Even though the woman said there were none, it was our last night and MK was open to 1 am, so DH said let's go see. Sure enough, at the jewelry store on Main Street, they had them. They had 4 out and I picked the best of the 4--castle right in center on back, others had it on front, but the buckle was on top of it. When we left the store there were only 2. As we left the park, we peeked in and they had 4 out again. I checked all those and decided mine was the best. Lesson to be learned--BE PERSISTENT!! Thanks to DH!!

I know what you mean. DH said, "Are you sure you don't want to wait to see the new designs?" I'm thinking, wait, I'll just get one of those too! Anyway, I did want the bag to be a memory from my trip, so I'm glad we found it.
