The other day, 2 of my cast member friends went to Tren-D for me, before opening and waited in a short line of people to get me a purse, when the doors opened, everyone realized they were all there for the purses. Then, a guy in front of my friends, bought all 10 purses, at full price, even though he could see there was a line behing him. Needless to say, all they were able to get me was a wallet. This guy is certainly our ebay purse stealer! I am sorry if you make your living on ebay, I realize this is a free market country, but have a little common respect for other people that are standing one foot behind you and don't be a pig! Disney should do what other stores do and put a limit on how many someone can buy at one time. So I called and put one on backorder, the cast member told me it would be in within 4 weeks. I had to bite it with the shipping, but it's worth it!

I am so sorry! I absolutely agree with you that they should limit the number of bags someone is allowed to buy. I realize that they will probably just leave and come back or go to another location to try and purchase them, but at least that would make it a little more difficult for them.

No bags at Tren-D, Uptown Jewelers, WOD or Summer Lace Today. DH got me the wristlet for our anniversary on 10/20 and now I would like the tassel bag or a tote. I have never seen the tote in person since it sells so fast. They had 6 tassel bags at Uptown Jewelers at MK last Saturday but I hesitated. The lady at Tren-D said people are waiting at their doors in the morning to get in and see if they have had a shipment of them. No one was even looking at them at MK so maybe that is the best bet if they get a shipment in.

These bags seem to have becme even more popular as the holidays get near.

Back in 2005 we visited disneyland. I remember that you could go to customer service and ask for a 1hr pass (at no cost) do enter park if you were going to buy merchandise. This was at the 50th anniversary and I was looking for the gold mickey ear hats. Does disneyworld let you do this?

i tried calling today but the are closed on the weekend so i'll have to wait until monday.

i told dh he should wish me a merry christmas when i showed him the picture today - he just laughed - don't think he thinks i'm seriously going to buy one LOL

I am getting frustrated at the situation too. I hear people are still buying them in the parks yet we are being told our backorders will be filled

That's funny! My Dh thought the same thing but he's usually home when the UPS man comes so the last laughs on him

Disney World used to do this at one time because I needed to buy a souvenir and was allowed into the MK. This was 20 years ago. Of course, the thought to stay in the park never crossed my mind. I was grateful they let me into the park.

I think I read somewhere that if you want a 1 hour shopping pass, you hand over your credit card number. If you are in the park for more than an hour or so, your credit card is charged the price for a one day park pass.

ohhhh that would make sense - and also prob why they don't do it anymore.

it was very nice they did that but i guess now that they have the Disney Merchandise number you can order something you saw in the park when you get home

I didn't mean to offend you Hallowishes, but I've seen some crazy things happen and I'm not as niave as I once was. I don't know you personally, but I know that for the most part, my fellow DISers don't do things like this. I just thought it may not be a coincidence. Before entering the park I was asked for my driver's license. I don't remember if they also asked for my credit card. I was told that I had to pickup my drivers license in 1 hr. or I would get charged a ticket. The reason I needed to go to the parks was to get the mickey hats personalized.

I'm glad. I am not the on ebay all that much and I cannot believe people are that low that they steal others' pictures. I'm sorry that happened to you and I apologize for suggesting you were behind it!

went to Tren-D everyday for 8 days last week to try and get the wallet, not even the purse and they were sold out, megan, who works there was very helpful unlike some of her co-workers told me i could and try and call to reserve one but i had no luck...also i did see them being sold in magic kingdom on main street i believe maybe in a watch and jewlery store?...they had about 8 left when i was in. Tren-D informed me they do not get shipments in on wednesday and monday if that helps anyone...best of luck to all who are trying to purchase

Wow $150 for shipping is alot. I don't want to pay the extra money to ship mine to Texas and hope to find them this week when I go. I doubt I'll find the purse when we go again in December. Otherwise, I won't have an option but to pay the shipping. Do you have someone you trust in the US that could receive it and then ship it off to you? Wonder if that would save you money on the shipping to canada?

I couldn't resist... the temptation was too much!
I ordered the bigger purse with the wristlet for a total of $220 plus $29.95 for shipping. Of course, if I bought them at disney world I would have saved 10% with my disney card, but then I still have to pay FL. Taxes. I was told it should ship sometime in November. At least if I don't have luck finding this week at disney, I am already on the infamous "waiting list" to get shipped.
