Dooney & bourke disney collaboration

I thought that there were 150 given out at the event, but they were not all signed. I am pretty sure that the one that I got on e-bay is not signed. I don't really care since I am planning to use it.

So, even if they do release them to the public eventually, the signed ones will be collector's items.

Of course I would like a sketch one too, so I hope that they will be selling them!

Don't know if anyone has posted this but I saw new colors at the shop at the GF yesterday.

Pink with green Mickeys, Navy with white Mickeys and also tan wristlets. I know those are fairly new as they weren't in last Wednesday.

This is probably old news for y'all but the shop at the YC also carries D&B bags now.

Eh, I'm afraid if people do this, Disney will stop doing special things like this. But that's just me.

I respectfully disagree. My hope is to tell them how much we love the new cosmetic bag and new designs so they will continue the partnership and make it available to everyone, not just those who live in FL or the random visitor who happens to be there that week.

There was a post a while back where someone said their friend who was at the event saw them leave with the extras. Then there was a post from someone else that said she heard they were all gone. I guess we will never know.

I bought my purses on the 26th, but after the signing was over and did receive the cosmetic bag. I did not see signs about LE of 150. In fact I would bet they had well over 150 sales of over $150.00. You should have seen all the people walking around Downtown Disney with D&B bags.

I just got off the phone with WDW merchandising, hoping to order the new styles. The lady told me they couldn't be ordered now, and they wouldn't have any ordering info. on any of the new bags until late today or tomorrow. I was SO looking forward to placing this order all wknd.!

I emailed the seller that was raising the prices and got one for $99-but , I had emailed him early yesterday before the prices were going higher. So, I sort of bought it outright from him. I checked the feedback and it is really good so I feel comfortable buying from him. Emails were very pleasant.

I figure it would have cost me that much in gas to go to the event, so I don't feel that guilty. But, getting any Disney Birki's will have to wait. And no going out to eat as much this week.

I think this is the same seller that I bought from. I wondered why he kept rising prices - maybe because he wanted to test the limit of what crazies like me would pay? That is cool that you got one for $99. And the ebay seller benefits from that sale because he doesn't have to pay the final value fee.

I mentioned that in my email that I sent. He would save listing fees and final value fees

I agree with this. It is great that they have the giveaway but just think of how much more money they can make if they sell them. Everyone wants one - LOL and I do believe that eventually we will see Disney sell more DB stuff such as the cosmetic bags. The marketing dept has to know that they are sitting on a gold mine with the DB and Disney designs.

Also I think the limited 150 number that keeps coming up is that was the number of signed cosmetic bags - not all of them were signed.

The man the created the bags would sign anything for you that you wanted. I did not get my cosmetic bag signed, I decided to have him sign the inside of my Cindy tote. He was standing there with a sharpie, I don't think anything was pre-signed or limited to a number of signings.

LOL- OK- well that blows that theory - I thought I had read it somewhere but maybe we are all confusing the $150 spending limit to qualify for the comestic bag with a limited edition number

It definately sounds like there were more then 150 given out. I definately think the price may come down some - I also think eventually we will see Disney sell these or something similar to them - Disney is not one to sit on something that they could be making a profit from

I really think that they have to sell those cosmetic bags too. I just can't imagine that they would make "x" number just to give away. I am hoping they mass produced them and are strategically waiting to release them for sale, just to make people like me that has a problem with "instant gratification" go

Soooooo, the EBAY sellers are perpetuating this myth - some of the listings are saying "LE 150" which I think means limited edition 150.
This must be where I was getting that number in my head from.
