Someone posted on the facebook page I think it was, that it feels like parachute material. From the pictures, I expected it to be more like neoprene.

thanks for the info dazieduck it's funny because the photo looked like neoprene or something thicker to me as well. i do have a regular dooney nylon bag and i checked it out more closely. it is a smooth nylon, pretty thin actually, and i fear not as strong as the reinforced parachute material on the lesportsac bags because it does not have the criss cross ripstop threads in it. not sure why the photos make the fabric on the sketch ones look thick tho. ah well, maybe i'll see them in person one day, or just get brave and order one if they go on sale. wonder when the next 25% off sale will be? thanks again for the reply

does the ipad case fit an original ipad if it is already in the apple folio case? i'm guessing probably not. i am so used to flipping the ugly black apple case open to prop up easel style that i don't want to go without it. i am also afraid of dropping my ipad if it doesn't have the folio around it. anyone?

I have not seen the button print in person but it does appear this new Disney Mickey Mouse club wallet would coordinate very nicley with that print.

What did you say in your email to them & what did they say back--did they explain that our bags were a mistake without the logo or something, and if so, did they say when the new ones were to be out? I am going on the Fantasy in January so I could exchange it then, though I'd hate to wait that long. I wonder if there is an option to have them mail me a fob for it or have me send it in to have the leather logo stitched on? i'm just really curious what their answer was to you.

I contacted DCL to let them know that my bag purchased on the Dream did not have the inaugural tag or Dooney stitched label. I asked if this was defective and if it could be exchanged or a new tag sent to me. I was given a contact name of someone in the merchandise store on board the Disney Magic whom to contact on my next sailing and told I could exchange the bag provided it had all the tags and was in an unused condition.
They did not offer to send a inaugural tag or explain if the Dream bags were defective.
Meanwhile on the Magic I was able to exchange for a tagged bag. These medium sized ones on the Dream also do not have the Dooney tag stitched on the outside.
The Magic has a greater assortment of Dooney DCL cruise bags including the 4 ship design in a small barrel style, plus a new design that is white with blue pin stripes.

hope u r right also hope the wdw retro bags are up. does anyone know if the charms satchel will be made in white? i actually prefer the black and got it during the sale. it is really nice. if it did come in white, i am sorry to admit i would be tempted to add it, just because i find this style so pretty and practical..... just wondering tho.

I am going to be good (I think) and not buy any nylon sketch bags because I already have the first edition sketch in the Cindy style so no need to duplicate the print. I feel lucky and content to have one piece from each print that appeals to me.

Here's a plan for you... if the nylon phone case shown in the pre-release photos ever shows up you should snag one with Chip & Dale on it. That way you get the different fabric and unique characters while still keeping the cost reasonable (hopefully)

i was hoping someone might be able to explain what the nylon fabric on the new backpack and other bags is like. is it like lesportsac, or is it thicker? can it be cleaned at all? was worried about it getting dirty and also possibly snagging? anyone?

That's a tough one to answer. It doesn't have the visible criss cross pattern the LSS fabric does, but I actually think it feels a bit more substantial than LSS fabric. I'm sure you could snag it, but that's not a huge concern for me. I have nylon bags that I've worn holes in that don't have a single snag. I'm hoping it cleans up nicely, but I haven't yucked up my bag to test that out yet.

Ugh. So, I just got an email this morning from DS.com about the new Dooney bags.
Of course, I had to look. I want the Retro DL ones so bad.
I wish there was a way I could choose the one I want though.
I have a coated canvas Dooney wristlet in Yellow Petunia, and I love it.
With my luck, I'd buy something and end up with horribly placed icons, so it doesn't look like a Disney Dooney at all. KWIM?

OMG. , so I just went on ebay and saw a DW retro pattern?
I think I want that more than the DL one.

I guess my best bet is paying more on ebay and getting a pattern I'd like. I still have 460 days until I get back to WDW.

by the way, a while back i had ordered the buttons tote. when it arrived the finish had some issues, with some kind of residue on it, and the dooney leather plaque was missing most of its gold paint. at the time i also thought the bag looked dull and so i sent it back. recently, when the buttons letter carrier showed up back on DS, i gave this pattern another chance. i have to say, this one looks great to me. so maybe mine was actually dull due to the problem with the coating on the canvas??? just wanted to mention it to those considering, my latest buttons purchase looks more vivid to me and i really like it. hope this might help someone on the fence with this pattern

I ordered two buttons crossbody bags so I could compare pattern placement and keep the better of the two. Initially I was disappointed that the colors weren't as vibrant as they appear online. After a few days of looking at them I decided the color isn't overly dull after all and decided to keep one. I mainly kept it because it has Thumper and Splash Mountain on it. Those are characters that I love that aren't used on enough merchandise so I can't resist!

Has everyone seen the new LeSportsac Small World prints? I like the little Moroccan doll charm on the Moroccan Sun print but I am not a fan of LeSportsac so I don't plan on buying any of the bags.

just noticed that DS has restocked on some older dooney styles including buttons tote, buttons letter carrier, sketch lucy, 40th letter carrier, black bows tote, DCL dream satchel, and also sketch medium tote. there may be others, can't remember, but if anyone was looking for these older styles, they are showing as available. hope this helps someone
