Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

Thanks, Liza :thumbsup2 Did you notice how the back of mine is almost identical to the back of yours :rotfl2: See what super taste we both have :goodvibes Considering that by using my reward points I only paid under $47 out of pocket for my bucket bag, I am beyond happy :cloud9: And my just ordered striped Mickey Campsac only cost me under $27 again with the discount, my reward points and the $40 gift card for taking the on-line DVC tour :dance3:

OT, but can I ask you about the online DVC tour? I just got the offer for this today in the mail, and I am wondering what exactly it entails. I would love a $40 gift card to go towards another bag, of course! :lovestruc

By all means, do it :thumbsup2 Call the number on the post card and you will talk briefly with a couple of people and then they will send you some reading material about DVC :goodvibes It was very low key and what a super way to get $40 :dance3: Within 10 days, I got my $40 gift card by FedEx (it has to be signed for) :yay: It is very cute and features the characters on an Aulani card :cool1:

That's all it is? From the ad it sounded like when you call they direct you to different spots online as they talk about DVC. I didn't want to be stuck on the phone with them for an eternity.

Well, like the title says, this is OT, but still Disney related, and I just need to vent. I ordered some stuff online last Thursday. A few miscellaneous items, but most importantly, some tea and a tea kettle. Yes, Christmas presents. Well, after a week, my order status still says not shipped. So I called tonight to find out that between the time I placed the order and they went to package the order, all my items are sold out. How can that even happen??? I was never notified!!! Had I not called, I would never have known. The tea and tea kettle were supposed to be Christmas presents for my daughter. I am absolutely besides myself. There is even a girl from work there now that would have been more than happy to pick the stuff up for me, but disney store was running a 25% off promotion and I really wanted to use my rewards points so I decided not to bother the girl from work. I am just sick over this.

I am so sorry, that does stink. By the way, we are here as your friends and you may vent even if OT:hug:

Check out page one of this thread, it has tons of information about the bags, prices, etc - I know a lot of folks don't realize that. ;)

Comic Collection
Satchel – Red trim - $235 - 400004848477

Thanks, I had did a quick search of this thread and it took me to the last page. I now see pricing. I really want a Aulani bag. How do we get those?

Should I suck it up and BUY an Aulani bag? They're so expensive! I know I won't be going to Hawaii anytime soon. Would it be wise?

I have noticed on Ebay that when a new pattern comes out the prices at the beginning are a bit high. Then as the demand dwindles a bit, the prices become more realistic.

I would have to agree... Now I can't say a whole bunch, I just two new bags that I did not need but I wanted... Sorry it is an addiction..

I know what you mean! That's why I'm in a pickle! But I also noticed the 40th bags are quite high at the moment too. The new comic series are semi high and now that I saw those online at DS I'd rather buy from there. But Aulani is out of my reach. :-(

Here are pictures of my two. The green one I picked up at MK and my Sketch tassel the Pixie Placement fairy sprinkled great placement on it!:thumbsup2

I had to mess with it to see them... you got too many of the

The comic series bags just came out, it's the newest pattern. I think the satchel is still expensive because there have been very few at disneyworld to begin with. This info has been reported bt fellow disers at the parks lately. The 40th anniversary bags suppposedly are coming to an end.. again info provided by fellow disers and what the CMs at the parks have told them. I have a 40th bucket bag listed on ebay and after paying full retail plus ebay and paypal fees the added cost is about $40 to the buyer. As a seller, I will probably recoup just my cost if I am lucky.

Good luck on your new addiction:cutie: But remember you are not alone.. we are all here:wizard:

I'm sorry I'm doing this all from my phone so it's limiting me to what I see and don't. I was playing with it to get it to where I could click on the image. A very sorry to those of you on a pc.

Oh I understand what you mean about just breaking even or even making just a tad. I'm just saying I'd rather buy the ones I can off DS and the one I can't (Aulani) buy from eBay. That's all. :-)

no problem.... I only got links for the wristlet.... your sketch is still in the wind...

I agree with Liza; unless the bags are very limited, or are discontinued shortly after release, you can generally get some great deals if you wait awhile, especially if you're willing to go the e-bay route.

Of course that's no fun when you want to have the newest pattern right away. ;)

I just listed a brand new w/tags DL Kristin bag for $63 LESS than I paid, plus I'm offering free shipping. I don't even want to think about the huge hit I'll take after all the stupid seller and shipping fees, and that's IF it even sells. Ouch! The point being, there are deals to be had out there.

I've even seen some of the cruise line bags sell for less than MSRP, and they're probably somewhat similar to the Aulani bags as far as being more difficult to get.

But timing is everything.
