I need some quick advice. There is a disneyland 55 crossbody with perfect placement that I would love to use for my upcoming 20th ann. trip, but the buy it now price is 200.00 dollars. Should I go for it???? Or would that be dumb

By crossbody, are you talking about the letter carrier? I paid $185 for mine (back before they were readily available). I'm not as big on placement, so I can't really say if mine is "perfect" or not. I actually have never used it (and think I'll be putting it up for sale soon for that very reason). Don't know if this helps or not, just thought I'd give you a reference point.

Yes, it was the letter carrier. But as my post above said someone snatched it right out from under me. Bummer! That does help though to know what you paid, incase another comes along, I will grab it without thinking. Perfect placement to me is Mickey and Minnie together on it. Does yours have that? If it does I would be interested in yours. We are going in Sept. to Disneyland for our 20th ann. I wanted that for my park bag

Hi Pam, if you go to this website on zannaland, she has all the 40th bags with pictures and their names. Sometimes ebay people can call the bags by their wrong names. http://zannaland.com/new-wdw-40th-anniversary-disney-dooney-bourke-purses/ The letter carrier is very small and is very thin. the messenger is much bigger but still a small purse. It has the large cloth strap. AGain, see the website for actual pictures with their names and prices. Hope this helps.

Sorry you missed out on the letter carrier. I just took a look at closed auctions and it was nice. It had leather trim on the pocket too. I know some people don't care about that, but it's a big plus for me.

I haven't shopped for Dooney's much lately, but back when I was more Disney Dooney obsessed and at DD once a week or more, finding Mickey & Minnie well placed on the front of the letter carriers was always a challenge.

$200 does seem a bit high to me; but if the seller originally paid full retail plus tax and possibly even shipping to get the bag, they probably didn't make much, if any, profit after all the darn e-bay/paypal fees. So not crazy high.

It's been awhile, but I sold a couple of extra letter carriers on e-bay and IIRC I had to get approx $185 just to break even.

Wish me luck ladies! There is now a messenger bag with Mickey and Minnie on the front. Maybe that would be better for me anyway because I hold so much junk, even at the parks. I just got my first Disney Dooney and on the look out for my second, but I wondered how the bags do in the rain?

Living in "sunny" Florida with it's sudden storms.....


The other question I have is do you carry your Dooney in the parks?
