Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I am going to CRY. The top of my bag has an area where the stiching was obviously off. And now it is unraveling. The stitching is even all the way around and then, where it is unraveling, drops lower than the leather. I noticed it today. I called and have to ship it back (they are paying) and they will send me a new one. . Who knows what placement I'll get! Does anyone know if dooneys can be returned at the Disney store? I'm guessing not, but I'm considering returning it and holding out for 40th anniversary bucket. I really like my large sketch, but I'm still not convinced that it's not too big. And it's awfully heavy. But I do really like it. I guess if I can return it to the store, it will be in the cards to wait out the 40th. If I can't, I'll have to have faith that I'll get another bag with great placement. Ugh. Dh was wondering if I should just keep it (ladies, I think he was secretly excited about my bag...what other husband would be excited about placement? And he said, "I'll bet you are going to get so many compliments!"). I am just afraid it will continue to unravel. I'll take a pic later.

I was the one that was told they were exclusive and I was so glad to see them at Uptown jewelers, now maybe they will definitely appear on Disney store online

I am so sorry about your purse. Unfortunately, they will not let you return them at a Disney store (I tried once to avoid the return shipping costs). Keep us posted on this saga and what you end up with.

Yes, maybe! And I also noticed a lot of cruise line merchandise popping up on ds.com. Maybe someday the cruiseline Disney Dooneys will be for sale there too?

Maybe call Dooney and see if they'll fix the stitching? My DH is very supportive of my Dooney habit , he totally gets the whole placement thing and is my sounding board.

Those Minnie bow purses are absolutely adorable. I have only three other Dooneys, but already I can't believe the amount of money I've invested in these things. Plus, the two I've bought for DD!!!

Just got back from the MK and wanted to let everyone know that the 40th bags all seem to be back in stock at Uptown Jewelers. They also had a supercute Minnie Bow bag display!

Thanks so much for the awesome pictures of Uptown Jewelers I am so happy to see the black and white striped bags and the 40th wristlets too Fingers crossed they will all still be there in two weeks

I am so very sorry about the stitching on your first Dooney coming off I certainly hope they can just restitch it so you can keep your awesome placement

Hi daizieduck. Yes, there were plenty of colored sketch wristlets and letter carriers. You can't them in the picture, but they were right behind the 40th bags on the opposite side of the display.

Does anyone know if they have the balloon mickey bags at WDW?

They have the larger balloon bags in white and black. For some reason the smaller Pochette and Margot that were online have never shown up at WDW. I'm not sure if they are at DL. Here's another pic I took yesterday of the Balloon bags that I forgot to post.

You know what would be fun? If they did Disney Dooney prints that were park specific, one for each park. Of course then we would really go broke! But it would be so fun to have one Epcot themed, one MK themed, etc.!
