I have just got a 40th anniversary messenger bag from ebay. I got it for $184 with shipping cost and it still had the price tag for $265 on it and the protective tissue on the metal. I also have two wristlets one in the original print the other in the black with mickey on it.

My next purchase is the 55th Disneyland letter bag.

Yes this is a minor add on to my Disney and handbag addiction.

I am thinking about the 40th anniversary bag as well. In fact, I have been watching ebay too. I wasn't sure about placement on those, if many are similiar. I also couldn't tell about the size. They look like a nice "in-between" size, somewhere in between the wrislet & tote. Do you like yours?

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place or not, but I'm selling my Dooney & Bourke 40th Anniversary Messenger Bag. Never used it, but the tags were cut off and the packing stuff removed. My husband bought it for me while we were at WDW over Mother's Day Week, but its honestly not the style of bag I would carry around and use, and I hate to see it just sit in the closet --so he agreed he wouldn't be hurt if I sold it and got something else more my style. I can scan the receipt showing the date and place he bought it so you know you're getting an authentic bag.

I was wondering if anyone knew if the Minnie mouse pouchette bag is bigger than the margot. They made the pouchette in the balloon style as well. What I really want to know is can you get a little more in the pouchette since it has a bigger opening than the margot? Thanks for the help.

I hate to burst your bubble, but since the princess bags are on clearance on the website, you might be out of luck at the parks in December.

Anyone who has been recently, have you seen them in the stores?

Does anyone have a picture of the cross body bag? I'm debating on either the balloons patters or 40 anniversary bag. Opinions please

Not sure if these are the bags you're talking about but I posted some "size comparison" photos awhile back - Mini Margot is crossbody in the balloon print, and the messenger is in the 40th anniversary print:

I much preferred the messenger once I figured out I could squeeze my DSLR camera in there with the lens pointed up. The opening on the Mini Margot is very small and makes it difficult to get things in and out. I pretty much only carried my cell phone, tube of sun block, and a change purse with money/cards inside of it, but you could fit quite a few smaller items in there. Both bags can be used crossbody or as shoulder bags which is kind of nice.

The other crossbody bag I'm aware of is the letter carrier, but I don't think it comes in the balloon print, not sure about the 40th but think maybe it does. It's a very flat bag from what I can tell, depth wise.

On another note - I looked all over for a 40th anniversary print wristlet last week but couldn't find any. The bucket bag tempted me, but I only saw 3 -one at TrenD in Downtown Disney and 2 that were in displays at MK. Since they didn't have awesome placement I resisted, but now I'm kind of regretting it!

That makes me even more glad I got my 40th bucket bag from ds.com when they had the 20% off promo code. I thought getting it at the parks would make it more special but we don't go until October and if they are already scarce now . . .

The Minnie pouchette holds about the same amount as the margot. It's smaller, but it has a wider base. I'm not sure if the balloon pouchette would hold as much stuff as the Minnie one does though, since the sides are stiffer.

I originally scotchgarded my Mickey and Minnie Faces Bags, so far, they have resisted all dirt and spills.

But, the purses I bought for my nieces haven't done as well. I have told my SIL to use the SHOUT WIPES on the spots and stains and she said this has made a huge difference on them. simply use the towelette and then use water to take the soapy reside off and allow to dry.

Thanks for the info. I was meaning the minnie mouse bow pouchette, but failed to say that. But, you answered it about the balloon one which is the same. It is always hard to know without having it, if it will work for youself or not. Again, thanks for your help.

I hope it works, too! Better to catch the stain ASAP, and to NOT douse the bag with water! just use a little at a time to remove the shout with a lint free towel. You don't want to get the fuschia lining inside all wet. Just to be safe.

Oh, yes! I'm not a Vera-lover, but the scotchguarding would work! No doubt!

IIRC, the Wonder tassel isn't lined, I do love my Wonder Tote though.
Need to check with my oldest niece as I bought the tassel for her last year.
I really want to say it is NOT lined.

I was at mouse gears on Saturday and they had the messenger and checkbook in the 40th anniversary print.

I ended up getting my Messenger at World of Disney in DTD.

I will post a pick later, It is not on this memory card

Good for you! Welcome to those of us who have more Disney dooneys than we probably should, but love everyone of them dearly I hope your tote is really nice with placement and you love your tote as much as I love mine.
