Does anyone know how much the different size Minnie Dooneys are?
Sorry if someone already asked/answered this.
9 Days until I get to WDW to look for perfect placement on a 40th anniversary bag.
Catira, let me tell ya how I "handle" the "hubby situation". We first take a walk to the cigar store in Downtown Disney, or he'll grab a drink. Then, I head into the WOD store while he's "people watching" & enjoying his "refreshments" outside. I'm usually in there for about 30 - 45 minutes so it gives him time to relax while I shop. Then, we'll do a slow stroll around Downtown Disney (with me poking into a couple of stores of couse) & then head to Ghiradelli for a drink to enjoy on the ride back to the in-laws. This plan usually keeps BOTH of us happy.
Since you have the kids, you may want to head to Ghiradelli first - I'm sure if they're having ice cream outside, they won't even miss you while you're shopping at WOD.![]()
I thought that someone said that the new minnie bow bags were up on Disney Shopping, but I am not seeing them. Am I missing something?![]()
Daizieduck, I owe ya big time for the "heads up" on the white Margo coming back to the online store (ordered it & LOVE it!), so I hope I can return the good deed.
Here's what they did for me at WOD last November. When the salesgirl saw I had a Disney Rewards Points card (AND she was also the one who went thru all of the bags with me to find my "perfect placement"), she asked if I also had my Disney Visa with me. I told her I was using the rewards card, & she told me she could take 10% off my purchase for "using" my Visa. She rang thru the sale but didn't "complete" it - she just got the subtotal (minus the 10%). Then, she used all the points I had left on the card, which left a balance of $7 due (for BOTH a medium Sketch & wristlet). I had to put the $7 on my charge card in order to use the Visa discount - if I had $7 more on the card, I would have walked out of there for free!
Plus, if you haven't had time to get your rewards card before your trip, you can pick them up at the courtesy booth at Downtown Disney - you have to make a call to activate it but the card works instantaneously.
Hope this answered your question -feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any other questions about this.
Not on DS.com, I think they meant you can call to order from Disney merchandising.
Ah yes, I misread mail order line, for online... oh well.
Does Disney Merchandising still charge crazy high S/H fees? I once called about something being sold at WDW that we didn't have here at DLR, they said they'd be glad to send it to me, but I passed when they told me how much shipping would cost.
I'd pop over and pick up some bags from the new collection to list on e-bay, but I'd probably end up losing money on the deal. I have no idea how some e-bayers sell Disney Dooney's as inexpensively as they do. I've listed some I decided not to keep and I've made a few dollars here and there, but after all the e-bay and paypal fees, I've lost money more often. So overall my indecisiveness has just ended up subsidizing other peoples' purchases.![]()
Hi, The shipping from WDW is high but they raise the prices about $20 on the purses when they go online on disneystore.com so it all washes out. Like for example, the balloon margot was $145 but online it is $165. WDW only charges their retail price in the parks. Just FYI.
Yep, I did the same thing and got excited at the thought of using my gift certificate for it. I think I'll wait until they are online or until I go again to get one.

I know they've raised prices on some styles, but I don't think the increases necessarily coincided with when they showed up online.
The margot is a particularly bad example. I've never seen one in stock at DLR, and I'm pretty sure the same has been reported for WDW. The only way to get that particular bag has been to buy it online and it was definitely $145 when it first showed up on disney shopping.
I imagine if the parks ever do get margot bags in stock, they will also be the new higher price... unless someone discovers boxes of them sitting in a stock room somewhere with the old price. I've never understood why that particular bag hasn't showed up in the parks.![]()
When I was at DTD a few weeks ago I got the 40th anniversary messenger bag. The one I picked out was tagged at $255, but the rest were $265, and it rang in at $265. That is the same as the online price. I also got a sketch wristlet they are $49 in the parks and online.
It's cheaper for me to buy online because there is no sales tax here and I can usually get free shipping codes.

I'm about to ask a silly question. If there are 40th messengers still on the shelf marked $255, but others are marked $265, and I find one I like better at $265, will they price match it to $255 since there are others still on the shelf with the lower price? In other words, if I bring a messenger with the lower price to the register, will they price match it?
I think I know the answer, but it doesn't hurt to ask.![]()
