How sick am I? I ordered my bags yesterday. . . .and although I haven't got a second email, I keep checking the order status on the site in hopes it will show as "shipped". Lol.

If you are sick, so am I. I do the same thing. Then after I get a tracking number I check it everytime I am on the computer, as if it could change that frequently::rotfl2:

So is this an order for multiple Lucy bags so you can pick and choose? You'll have to post pictures when you get them!

I would have thought that the DISNEYGUEST coupon would work for a Lucy bag. I thought that this was only available online. Has anyone seen it in the parks? i wanted to choose in person in October but I read that its not available in the parks! Anyway, it did not give me the 20% discount when I tried a few minutes ago...:sad2:

I've never seen a Lucy bag at DL, and I'm pretty sure folks have reported the same for WDW. I think placement is especially important on that bag, so it's frustrating that you have to order it sight unseen. Another option would be to try e-bay. I haven't been paying much attention to Dooney auctions lately, but I've gotten some very nice deals there in the past.

Does anyone have the Balloon Mickey Drawstring Bag who can answer some questions?

Is it really tight under the arm when you have it on your shoulder?
Is it hard to get in and out of the top?
How roomy is it - can you fit all your junk and a water bottle?

Any other feedback on this bag???

Thanks.

I ended up selling my balloon drawstring, but maybe I can answer a couple of questions until someone who has one comes along.

I actually included the shoulder strap that came with the classic satchel when I sold the drawstring bag. I knew I'd never use it on the satchel since I don't like bags that have handles flopping around when using the shoulder strap (personal problem, I know)

Personally I liked the balloon bag best with the short handles completely removed (they don't clip on and off easily like ones that have a clasp do, but you can button them on and off) and just using the shoulder strap (although it would have been nice if it were a bit wider) It would definitely not have worked for me as an over the shoulder bag with just the standard short handles.

I thought there was quite a bit of space inside and lots of pockets to help with organization. Not sure about the water bottle since I didn't try that, but I bet it would be fine.

OK, that was way long and probably a lot of stuff you weren't even interested in... hopefully someone else checks in soon. ;)

Trying to resist going to the website to try out the discount code. I do NOT need another Disney bag.

Hi, I tried the Disneyfamily, disneypal, and another code I saw and could not get the 20% off for a Dooney. Then I tried the disneyfan and it worked. I could not get the additional 10% for my disney visa but did get the 20% off.
Try it friends:flower3: I also got the free shipping .

Just coming to post this!

I didn't buy a Dooney, but I did buy the 40th tote bag, the mickey rain boots and lunch box & backpack combo for my daughter entering kindergarten. So funny, I tried all of the different codes too, and I think this one earlier today and it didn't work. But now it is! The dooney selection has really shrunk.

I also read that they're going to have certain Dooneys for 40% off at the passholder sale at DTD this weekend if anyone's going.

D23FAMILY also works on the Dooneys. I also just tried DISNEYFAMILY again and that's working too...

Ya, it's my super scarily priced order! :scared1: I am soooo excited to see what I get though! :thumbsup2 I'll definitely post pics. . . .although my intention is to make a quick decision and turn around and send back 3 of them post-haste! :rotfl: (hopefully before DH notices THAT much missing from the account. :rotfl2: )

Hi, I have the Drawstring Bag and love it. I do wear it on my shoulder and do not find it tight. But, we are all built different, so that will be different on everyone. I put everything in a bag and need big bags and I find this bag very roomy and easy to get things out of. It opens pretty wide. Overall I love this bag and it is one of my favorite Disney Dooneys. Hope this helps.:lovestruc

So my parents got back from WDW last night because my mom had to have her second surgery today for cancer. The surgery went well and she was home not too long after being in recovery! So late in the afternoon I took the girls to go visit her and bring her flowers! Thankfully she is doing well in pain but doing better than her last surgery! My birthday is in September and I will be turning 30 and an early birthday gift my parents bought me the 40th bucket purse and they gave it to me tonight!!! I wasn't expecting to get it tonight! I have to say I love it! It is a little smaller than I expected but it is a perfect size for me. Sorry the pics are the best

Hope you and your mom are on the road to recovery! Beautiful bag, w/ great placement! The bucket is great and it holds more than it appears. Happy early birthday!:yay:

I took the plunge and ordered my first dooney!!! My dh gave me $50 and my inlaws gave me $40 for by birthday the other day. The plan was for me to wait until I had the rest (possibly at Christmas). I also really wanted the 40th bucket tote. Well, when I read about the discount here, I priced out the medium sketch, which was my original plan. Then I started looking at the dimensions of the medium vs. the large. I'm a teacher and take public transportation to get home from school each day. I thought that a larger purse might be better in case I had a water bottle or umbrella or something. The dimensions weren't that much bigger (we'll see!). I was in the car with dh this morning and priced it out ($180 with discount) and he said to go for it!!! I said, "I'll give you the other $90 when I get it" and he kind of laughed and said, "yeah right.". So we'll see if he really makes me pay! :lmao: We are a budget driven family. Living in Chicago with a very high cost of living and not the greatest paying jobs (I am a teacher at a small private school, dh is an accountant for the evangelical covenant church) forces us to save for what we want. Which is good, I suppose, but sometimes I wish I could just go splurge without saving! Well, I guess I did do that today. I plan on asking for a wristlet for Christmas! :upsidedow. I will post pics when I get it!

Woo Hoo! Good for you. It is nice to splurge once in a while. It sounds like you both work really hard. Can't wait to see your pics when you get the purse. Aren't sales great!!:cool1:

No flames please but I wish Disney would come out with some edgier high end handbag styles. It's nice that Disney has partnered with Dooney but Dooney has always been my least favorite handbag designer. Maybe something like B. Makowsky, Tignanello, or Michael Kors. LeSportsac would be a great parrtnership. Their bags are so versatile and they had some great design collaborations with Tokidoki and Stella McCartney.

I have a LeSportsac bag that is one of my absolute favorite choices for park days, so I'd love to see that collaboration too.

But I think Disney might have burned that bridge with their Mickey doki fiasco a few years ago. Those bags were so popular, but got pulled so fast, I have to believe Disney got called on licensing issues of some sort. I don't know the whole story though.

A picture of the Mickey doki bags, obviously inspired by LeSportsac Tokidoki bags, that were released and then quickly pulled from the shelves:

I love the tokidoki too, but they go for insane prices when you manage to find one. I've never been able to justify it knowing that it's really a $30 bag.
