I bought the lighter color. I really liked the black, but it was hard to find good placement on the black purse. Most of them I saw seemed to have the straps running right through the princesses. Maybe I will get lucky and find a good one on my trip. It sounded like those are not usually available in the World, so probably not.

Then again, do I really need another one??? Need....no.....want....YES!!!!!!!!

Uptown Jewelers had a pretty good selection of princess bags in the back of the store.

I liked the black much better - the colors really do pop. I was surprised, I did think they looked much better in person (the whole princess line).

I did find a cute little "bag tag" at Pop Century in the shop. It just has 5 different colored Mickey heads on a clip...red, orange, blue, green and yellow...all the colors on the bag, so it looks cute hanging on it.

Ooh, could you post a picture of your bag tag? I'm staying at Pop in two and a half weeks, and I'd love to see if this is something I should look for! :]

Anyone disappointed with their white sketch tote? I love the bag, but the light leather handles look disgusting. I've had it since August. The purse itself looks spotless, but the handles are black with dirt. When I got it the handles had a couple stratches, those are now filled with dirt. I tried to clean them, but it just made it worse. Now there are marks all over them from rain, etc. It makes me want to cry. I would have spent the money on one of the black ones if I knew it was going to look this bad so soon after. I feel like I threw money to the wind, I've mentioned to DH buying a different one, but didn't get a positive response. LOL I'm wondering if I sent it into Dooney would they clean the handles?

I've had my white sketch tassel tote since June but have only used it maybe 3 times and the handles are already kind of grimey. Plus as I mentioned before when I compared it to my sister's (she just got it last month) mine lookes so yellow and not at all bright white likes hers.

I've been using mine for a year and the handles look gross too. The rest of the bag is fine (minus a pink stain from a water bottle spill). I'd love to be able to clean them too.

Does Dooney offer a re-ferbishment of any kind? It would be nice to send the bag back and they clean up the handles or better yet put on new ones.

I am very unhappy also with the way the handles are looking....I read before I bought it that the tan leather with slowly get darker and that is part of the aging process (or something like that) but this is not attractive at all. I have tried to clean it also to no avail. VERY disappointed with that but I havent noticed the white getting yellow....yet.

What can we do? These are expensive bags....I have only had mine since Mothers Day and stopped using it in October.......waiting for a new one for Christmas. I asked for one of two for my husband to pick and if hes chosen the Disneyland 55 one then I think I will have the same problem with it .... right?

The background on the DL55 bags is not white like it is on the sketch bags. The DL bags have an antiquey feel, so the background is a creamy color to begin with. It's certainly possible that it will darken with age, but that probably won't be as much of an issue as with the white bags.

Also, the leather on the DL55 bags is not nearly as light as on the sketch bags. The DL bags have the traditional D&B british tan color leather. I still have one of my mom's old D&B handbags that has british tan leather trim. That thing has to be at least 20 years old, and the leather still looks fine.

I'm sorry folks are having such a hard time with the lighter color bags.

I got an e-mail from DS stating that the heart medallion is "backordered" and is estimated to ship 1/22/10. So far only 1 e-mail, for 1 medallion. I have 3 orders....

Considering how quick Dooney was able to solve the problem, I'm surprised by the delay.

I'm guessing Dooney is shipping a ton of these to Disney and they foresee a delay in getting what they are needing to fix the issue.

Finally saw the overnight bag... I was so tempted to buy it. I had $240 in disney rewards dollars but couldn't get myself to pay $395 for a bag I'll hardly use.

Wow, that overnight bag is super cute! You can see it much better than the pictures that were on ebay, I think the DCL version was on there. I would have been very very tempted! Thanks for the photos!
