Hawky7, I'm the woman who was behind you in line, remember? We were in the store together, I think you were shopping the totes or messengers when the guy brought out more letter carriers. There were no more than 4 or 6 LC on display when we went in...I chose the best of those, then as the CM brought more my daughter and I compared and replaced our choice maybe two times, then cashed out and left. I think we were in and out of that place in under three minutes .

I told her about my bag and she really wanted one, so I started looking on ebay and found this one. It was really marked up but I took my chances and made a low ball offer and to my surprise it was accepted. I haven't told her yet because until I get them both in front of me I don't know which one I'm keeping. I really like them both but can't make a decision based on pics alone.

BTW, these are not my photos they are from Hawky7 and Ebay.

What about a Tinkerbell Dooney? Maybe a special addition with Peter Pan characters instead of the other fairies.

The MAC makeup will be great at Halloween! It would be nice to have a quality makeup with colors you might not normally be able to get.

which ones are you looking for? The colored wrislets and letter carriers, the black wonder pattern, the brown tonal, and the white sketch can be purchased at uptown jewelrs, some of the patterns can be purchased at the emporium, mousegears at epcot, and some of the resort gift shops. The cream colored pattern with the brown leather trim is a disneyland exclusive and can only be purchased there.

Oh, I would totally buy all the styles of Tink D&Bs if they made them! I'm stoked that I will soon have in my grasp three D&Bs. Funny thing, this time last year I did not possess a single handbag that cost over $50. First +$50 bag I bought was an original sketch Cindy tote, second was a Coach (boo to be non-Disney, but it is a nice bag), third was a brown tonal letter carrier, and now the 55th messenger (shout out to hawky: thanks! I tried to PM you, but your box is full). Dh is going to think he created a monster for encouraging me (yes, he actually encouraged me!) to by that original sketch tote!

Anyway ... Tink1975, where abouts in Georgia are you? I have yet to see anyone else sporting a Disney bag, so it must not be around the mid-section ...

Omg I was just thinking last night that they should do a christmas one!! I would love love that! Then the DL one could have haunted mansion holiday on it!!!

I think they would make a killing on a christmas pattern. And if they made ones that were different for WDW and DL and open it up to online orders through Disney, they may even make double. I know I would want one of each.

See that is why I don't get. Im sure I am not the only person out there who likes both WDW and DLR. I would buy so much more if they had different patterns. Disney could make much more money with different patterns.

I don't know if it is too late, but I would love a DL tote or messenger bag. I am a long time reader who hasn't posted for a few years . . . but , I have been keeping up with all of the Dis-Dooney news from you gals! I just hated to bug someone to pick one up for me and was going to wait to see if I could order from the park. The only thing is the potential shipping cost . . . and not really knowing what pattern you"ll receive! I just love the placement of all on the bags that you all picked up at DL . . . so magical!

I too was expensive bag free this time last year (well I do have a stone mountain that I've had for about 13 years I think I paid a little over $100 for that one). I always saw Dooney, LV, and Coach bags that I liked but never enough to spend the money, I have had a couple of XOXO bags but always got those off ebay or something like that for super cheap. These disney bags have me hooked and I just absolutely love them all. Good thing is I know they will last and are guaranteed to do so. That makes me feel better about my purchases.

OK, so i decided after hawky7 left DL, that i NEEDED the messenger. so i bought it off of ebay from a TERRIFIC seller named muldi.

here is the bag on me:

the strap is VERY adjustable..i love it!

My messenger bag arrived today from cats mom!!! Thank you, thank you!!! Pictures are posted a few pages back.

Hallowishes is right...the strap adjusts a TON!!! I am 5'10" and lets just say a little on the chunky side and there is lots of room to adjust out even more!!

This is BY FAR the best IMO of all the patterns/colors. Love the antique cream color and all the old style fonts, banners, etc. The size of this bag is perfect!

Was just out modeling the purse as soon as I opened it....DS says, "Mom, I'm trying to watch Phineas and Ferb...yeah, yeah, your purse looks nice!"

Now I love it so much I want the large tote....But then I am afraid I won't use the others as much. Going to try and be good and not buy any more purses until we go to DL in November.

don't really know what one or if I will get one, but good to know this info, figure if I see one and want it I will try and get it, I'm hoping they will still be selling the DCL one when I go in February 2011, becuae that's when I cruise again.

i was REALLY shocked at how much it adjusts! which is terrific .. coz i have a lesportsac letter carrier type bag and it doesnt adjust enough and i dont like having to wear my bag right under my chest once you go to DL and see them in person, i think you might find yourself needing the tote! cant wait to get mine from hawky7 .. of course, there will be a photo shoot once i receive it!

I prefer to where mine where it hits me at the hip....I bought a Coach messenger type bag at the outlet up north for $125 and used it when we went to Yellowstone and when I go to antique and collectible shows. It is twice the size of this one with lots of compartments so pretty practical and useful. It has the same style of strap and adjusts way out.

Yep, brand new. It was just released at Vault 28 last Saturday as part of Disneyland's 55th anniversary celebration.

I believe someone on the thread called merchandising on Monday and they said to try again next week. I imagine you will eventually be able to order through merchandising, just not quite this soon.

Hawky7 picked up a ton of bags for Dis-ers on release day, she's home now, but I think she still has a letter carrier available. Janell and I are both local and have offered to help Dis-ers with specific pattern placement requests, if they're comfortable going that route. There are also a few e-bay sellers who actually have the bags priced reasonably; maybe even a bit less than if you ordered directly through Disney and paid their crazy high shipping in fact. Some are good about putting pictures of the actual bag they're selling in the listing, others not so much.
Just a couple of possible options if you need to get your hands on one right away.

I honestly wasn't sure from the pictures whether I wanted one or not; but once I saw them, I knew I had to have one, or two, maybe three.

I'm in the same boat. I had one coach bag that my MIL gave me but that was it. My husband encouraged me too and I'm not sure if he regrets it yet...he still doesn't know about my DL wristlet .
