Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Okay, now that I've seen pictures on eBay of a few of the actual Disneyland bags I really want one. Of course ill have to wait a little while since they're still super inflated on eBay and thee are very few listed but I just love the color and patterns, I wasn't sure after seeing the original announcement but I'm really loving them now.

OMG OMG OMG...do you guys remember seeing the limited edition of 1955 mouseketeers ears and box (same design as new dooneys)...well, I totally thought they were gone, that is the word on the DL disboards. Well I found some!!!! They had 6 of the total 1955 left, I bought 2!!! Anyone want one?? I'm considering going back...hehehehhee

Tina which one did you want. They are suppose to put them into the other stores tomorrow IF they have any left.which I kinda doubt, but the did say they got a ton!! So who knows.

We didn't get there until 1:15-ish, and by then we only had to wait about 10 minutes to get in the store. The downside was that the CM who had been stationed at the door left to help with the wristband line, so the tiny nook where the handbags were got a bit crazy.

The free gift was a cosmetic bag in the Disneyland 55th pattern with a retail price of $35

I really liked the design in person. There were definitely some pattern placements I liked better than others though.

We stopped back in the store at about 6pm to pick up a dress DD saw earlier and couldn't live without.
Folks were still buying, CM's were still restocking. I'd say it's going to be a popular pattern.
Even that late in the day they were still giving out a GWP, but it was a DB signature pattern, not the special Disneyland pattern they gave out earlier.

Yes, there was a registration card inside my bag. It also says you can register online.

From the pics on eBay it appears that unlike previous Disney Dooneys, the new DL55 bags come with registration cards?

Yep, even the GWP cosmetic bag had a registration card tucked inside.

And I agree about them looking better close-up. From the pictures I wasn't sure I was going to like them, but when I saw them in person, I decided I had to have one.

In fact I picked up a letter carrier in the colored sketch pattern for my oldest DD yesterday, but now that she's seen mine in the Disneyland pattern, we may be heading back over to make an exchange.
I guesss it's understandable though. Disneyland is her "home park", so she says the new pattern has more meaning for her, plus she thinks it looks a bit more grown-up.
She's still debating though since the colored sketch pattern is great too.
BTW, they had a ton of those in every color at Vault 28 yesterday.

After looking at all the pics....it appears the new bags are a cream/yellow color? That may hide any discoloring. Now I want one...Janell even volunteered to get me one but I was nervous about the fabric.

I would love to have the cosmetic bag...maybe they won't sell out until Nov. lol

Speaking of "grown up" I ordered Minnie Mouse/Daisy Duck Birkenstocks from QVC yesterday. Daisy is my favorite (as if you can't tell from my username!) so I had to get them even though they are pretty juvenille looking. DH said, "At least you know you will wear them at least once a year (on our annual trip to the World), which is more than I can say for some of your other shoes!" He's nicknamed the shoes Duck-enstocks!

If someone is at DL now or is going...and will pick me up a messenger bag (with ears and or Mickey and Minnie on front with the free cosmetic bag)......I will give you a Dooney Mickey tonal letter carrier for doing so. It is brand new, never used with tags on it. Let me know if you are interested....would prefer someone that has been on this board etc. PayPal for payment.

i agree that this print is more "grown up" decisions decisions they are both awesome bags so either way, shes going to be happy with her purchase!

Yep, the background is a cream color. I think it gives the bags an antique-y feel.

Unfortunately the cosmetic bags were only available yesterday. Even then you couldn't buy them, they were the GWP. In order to get one you had to make a qualifying purchase ($150 or more) before they ran out and before the Ian Ray appearance was over. I don't know if they ever ran out, they were still giving out wristbands at around 2pm, but I do know that if you got there after the promotion was over, you were tough out of luck.

One couple was pitching a pretty good fit at about 6pm because the GWP then was a DB signature print, not the special Disneyland print. The CM basically said too bad, so sad (in a nice way of course).

My offer from earlier in the thread still stands if you really want a bag now, just shoot me a PM; but since you're coming in November anyway, you might want to wait and pick out a pattern that speaks to you.

Hmm, after taking a quick look at some of the e-bay auctions, I'm a little confused.
One seller is obviously nuts because she claims the Disneyland pattern is only available at Vault 28. Yes, that was true yesterday, but it will be available in other Disney stores soon, and I'm sure by mail order as well.
Another seller is claiming the pattern will likely be a sell out in a week.
Obviously they're both trying to create hype for their auctions, but this is not a limited edition pattern, right? It might be a limited run, but as long as it's selling well, I bet they'll keep producing more, at least until the end of the year... what do you guys think?

I guess I should have asked more questions yesterday.
