Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

Does anyone know if when ordering from WDW merchandising, you can pay with the Disney rewards card? I would feel much better about spending the money if most was covered by the card. Thanks!

Don't know about WDW Mds'ing, but in the parks or resort shops, you can definitely use the Rewards card towards the Dooney bags. Give mds'ing a call and ask though

This is OT and it's not meant to generate pages and pages of dialouge, but I feel safe posting this here, in this particular thread. I don't spend a lot of time on the message board, but when I do, I can hardly go into a thread that doesn't turn into a bunch of people fighting with each other. What's up with that? I feel particularly bad for newbies that post what they think is a simple question that ends up being so controversial. I almost think what bothers me the most are the people that reply with things like "here we go again", or "pass the popcorn". I hope I don't get flamed. I just needed to get it off my chest. I live in my own little world and don't understand why people can't be nice to each other. Or not say anything at all. Guess we don't have that problem here because we're all obsessed with Donney and our biggest worry is how to afford our next one!

I can't speak for any other board then the Disneyland board, but over there 99% of the time everyone is nice and helpful. Very rarely does a thread turn ugly (of course, now that I say that...) I have heard some horror stories of other boards though.

I've been thinking to myself for some time now, how friendly and welcoming this thread has been! I believe this is one of the fastest growing threads out there that has remained on topic, is not a "game", is not "controversial", and is not just a "clique".

I read in another Dooney thread (different site) that someone had gotten an email from Dooney and Bourke about the Disney Dooneys and that there would be new designs coming out about every 3 - 6 months. As the new come out - the old would be retired. So - if this turns out to be accurate, I thin we could expect the next designs to be out somewhere between June and September, since these new designs were released in March.

Knowing that the plan is to retire the old designs, if anyone is looking for a sketch - you should probably pick one up off ebay or call merchandising if you don't plan to visit in the near future.

Thanks so much for this information! I'll be there in June, maybe there will be some new goodies by then!

i have the sketch tote and wonder tassel and since i , like you , prefer shoulder bags with zippers, i really find i use the wonder tassel tote most. it's a really nice bag, holds quite a bit and the (rainbow) zipper makes me feel more secure about not losing anything. my first love was the white sketch pattern, but i have to say the black wonder pattern is really great to carry, goes with most everything , and is a nice pop of color. good luck!

I completely agree. I love my white tassle tote, but it is just not as practical as the black one. Plus, I adore the rainbow zipper!

Thank you, I am really starting to lean toward the Black Wonder zipper purse. We are going to DL next month. I will be able to pick them up, feel them and see how they fit me and my lifestyle. I think I will end up with a rainbow Black wonder.

I believe they are $175 and only come in the tan print.

Ditto. I am leaning towards the black wonder tassle. I really like the white tote but it doesn't have a zip. Thought the campsac would be nice but no longer liking the color. The more I think about the black wonder tassle the more I think that might be the bag for me. I tried it on last December and it fit but thought it was too small. But now I'm feeling purse deprived.

I did it! I just got a version 1 sketch medium tote from eBay for a decent price! I have NEVER spent this much on a purse before - I may be afraid to use it! I'm feeling a bit guilty about the cost, but I haven't treated myself to anything lately...

I agree it's a lot of money, but wallets really are harder to make which is why it's so much. I just wish they had a zip around wallet since I NEVER carry checks with me anymore.

Once you actually start filling it up though, it is very roomy. That's the one I use if I'm going to be out all day and it holds everything, including my Kindle. I was hoping, but it wasn't a deal breaker, for it to fit, and it does!

Congrats on your new purse!!! I was the same way when I got mine (scared to use it) and now I use it everyday! Every woman deserves to treat herself once in a while and what better way than a Disney Dooney

I've only been *brave* enough to use my wristlet, but you've convinced me that I should go ahead and use/enjoy my tote as well!

Ok so this isn't the greatest picture but here is the purse I got on Friday. I really thought I was going to get the tassle tote, but when I saw it in person it was just too small for me. I carry big purses.

I got this in Hollywood Studios, there were only two when I got there. I asked if they had any others in the back as I wasn't crazy about the placement. Well she brought this one out and I love it. I'll have to post a picture of the back, but it's very symmetrical. I like how the WDW is centered under the buckle, and Minnie and Mickey are equally spaced. There's 2 full castles on the back (again, symmetrical to one another).

I'm not sure if anyone else has posted, but I saw the new bags (brown, blue and pink) at the Magic Kingdom. They had the new blue and pink patterns in Hollywood studios in addition to the white sketch and black.

Not nearly as massive as some others I've seen on here (thank goodness for my bank account and my marriage LOL that I don't care for the wonder pattern and the newest ones) but here are pictures of my sketch totes and wristlet. I love the large tote! Don't know when I'll use it -- too big to use every day -- but I'll think of something. The first one is the front of the bags, second is the back.

I definitely encourage using it! Believe it or not I take mine to the parks constantly. I will say that I'm a nervous wreck in line with it, I protect it like it's a baby I am still debating on getting another bag that is more park friendly though.

I have to agree that this has been the most friendly board. I've read I think almost every post and not one person has gotten snarky in any way. I've seen some other boards get really mean.
Thank you to everyone that is so nice here! We all just enjoy this addiction all together.

And for anyone that has never spent this much money - do sweat it! You deserve it! And use your bags - Dooneys are known for pretty good quality, so use it and enjoy!
