Has anyone heard if and when they will be in Disney this fall? I've checked allearsnet.com and did not see anything.

For the Wiggles I know that they are from Australia and tour around the world. (Took DS to concert in Minneapolis a year and a half ago). I checked their schedule and don't see any dates for Orlando.

I looked at the Doodlebops page online and it *looks* like it is a similar deal. They appear to be from Canada and are touring mostly in Canada this year.

Heres the dates I've found so far
Playhouse Disney In-Concert
Mickey Mouse Magic Show: 8/16/06-8/19/06
Doddlebops: 8/20/06-8/23/06
Mickey Mouse Magic Show: 8/24/06-8/27/06
Wiggles: 8/29/06-9/1/06
Dan Zanes and Johnny and the Sprites are also scheduled for concerts but havent seen the dates for them yet

Great Info, thanks for correcting me! Where did you find this? I want to keep this in mind for when we go (which isn't til next year)

Hope this helps you all. I received it on my allsearnet.net email newsletter.

Also today, Disney announced a new program called Magical
Beginnings, custom-designed to reduce hassles and increase the
magic for families traveling with toddlers or preschoolers. The
new Magical Beginnings program offers value travel packages,
entertainment, targeted planning tools and a host of services
and amenities to make navigating Disney parks with children 5
and younger easier than ever. There is a even a travel season
designated just for "little ones." In addition to the previously
announced Magic Your Way vacation package that includes the free
dining plan, available for stays between August 13 and September
30, here are some other highlights of what's been dubbed "Little
Ones Travel Time":

-- a series of shows called "Playhouse Disney in Concert"
(presented by Huggies and Pull-Ups) will feature a variety of
kid crowd-pleasers. The award-winning Australian foursome The
Wiggles will perform multiple shows daily, August 29- September
1. Other shows will include: The Doodlebops; Johnny & the
Sprites, featuring Johnny Tartaglia; Dan Zanes and more. In
addition, the new "Mickey's Magic Show" created by Feld
Entertainment, will make its first-ever park appearance.

-- Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on
select days for Disney guests and their small-fry for favorites
such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it's a small world and Peter
Pan's Flight, and the play area, Pooh's Playful Spot. Plus,
youngsters can meet favorite characters during the special
edition Extra Magic Hours. While guests must have Resort ID and
valid ticketing for Fantasyland Extra Magic Hours, there is no
additional charge to enjoy this extra time in the parks. This
early access allows families with young ones to get an early
start to their day and maximize park time before heading back to
their Disney resort for an afternoon break.

Special on-line planning tools will also be available as part of
the new program, including a Magical Beginnings in-park map
highlighting age-appropriate attractions, hassle-reducing
services, and specially trained Disney reservation agents. For
more information, visit http://www.disneyworld.com and select
"Something For Everyone" and choose "Preschoolers" for more
details and travel tips. Bookings for the new travel package
during the Little Ones Travel Time at Walt Disney World can be
made through June 4 by calling 407-WDW-PREK, or by visiting
http://www.Disneyworld.com/preK . For more information on
Magical Beginnings, visit http://www.disneymagicalbeginnings.com

ok - so it looks like the Doodlebops will be there when we are - would have rather had The Wiggles, but Doodlebops are good too. So- where are these concerts? Where do we get tickets? Is it onsite at one of the parks or elsewhere on Disney property?

Thanks!

I'm interested in where these are being held as we will be there during Doodlebops and Wiggles and dd would be wild to see them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok I am confused too. If there is going to be a show with the Wiggles and the Doodle bops I would love to go. We have seen the Wiggles twice before and they are just great. Where did this info come from??? How can I get tickets??

I just got off the phone changing my reservations so we could see the WIGGLES. She did not know anything about the Wiggles being there. So after I told her, she did some checking and said they would be there from Aug 29-Sept 1 at MGM. She said there would be several shows throughout the day and no times were posted as of yet. She said to keep checking the MGM page under Playhouse Disney on thier web page. You don't have to have tickets besides your admission ticket to the park according to her it is all part of the Magical Beginnings Package.

It will be interesting to see how Disney handles the crowds for the Wiggles. I think I'ld rather just see them at a regular venue with a guaranteed ticket. I'm kinda glad I'm going at the end of September, I'ld love to see Dan Zanes whos music I love or John Tartaglia-he was great in Avenue Q.

ok so you have to book a magical begining package?? We are annual pass holders so we would not need the package.
I tried to call but they are closed for the night.....

I CANNOT believe that the Wiggles and Doodlebops are coming to WDW!!! About 2 months ago, we were thinking about taking a little end of summer before DS goes to first grade trip to the world. That would've been Aug 27-Sept 1 just when the Wiggles are there. Now we have pretty much decided to go to Washington, D.C. instead because DS is obsessed with the presidents, history and money. How will I can I work in both trips with limited vacation time? I checked the Wiggles website and it says they will be touring in Philly this year. Maybe best to wait for that? What's a Wiggle and WDW-loving Mom to do? :confused3

To be honset I would wait and see the show at home. I have taken my 3 year old to 2 shows and they are outstanding!! I talked to a CM this morning and she had no more information than what was on the website. I tried explaining to her they were here last October for 3 shows and all 3 shows sold out! Jacksonville is not a huge town either. She said Disney is good at crowd control.....the problem is I don't want to be in a crowd.
I think I might try to email them and see if I get a better answer.

I didn't see Avenue Q, but I love his voice and I heard he's a South Jersey guy too, even better!!! I wish we could go during this time, but I can't tear myself away from MNSSHP. Plus even though I know Disney obviously is used to dealing with crowds, something tells me this could get CRAZY!

The "Magical beginnings" runs thru Sept 30th so I'm hoping Dan Zanes or John is there for the last weekend. That way we can hit MNSSHP and a concert-can't wait.
