you could tell the people you owe money to that it may take 30-60 days to process the payment? Insurance was supposed to pay for something and they are being slow as tar in paying it and telling us it could take an additional 30 days to process. I realllly wish I could use that excuse!

My internet/phone/cable provider did this to me too. I paid it a day late and did not realize that the amount was for the previous month and the next month. I authorized the payment and then realized that it was the wrong amount. I called them right away they said that they would credit me the amount and that it would be done the following Monday. Two weeks later and they still had not credited it. I was furious.
