Don't you hate it when you buy something expensive and it doesn't work?

I had always thought Siemens was a good brand name and bought a cordless phone system from them. It was a base unit with several handsets and cost several hundred dollars. After a year I have finally given up. They are pieces of junk, breaking constantly, the sound quality is terrible. I have been on the phone with their support more times than I want to think about. A friend of mine has the same system and the same problems.
I went out yesterday and bought a whole new panasonic system.
They old phones are in a garbage bag in the basement, I wouldn't even sell them on E-Bay, I would feel bad for dumping then on anyone!

With your new phone system, check to see if your phone company has the equipment maintenance plan. With our phone company it is like four dollars a month. When our previous cordless phone stopped working they fixed it for free. Then it stopped working again and they replaced it for free.
