If I rope drop Soarin, what will the wait at Test Track be by the time I get there if we come straight from Soarin. We are talking second week of August on a recommended day. Would like to save my FP+ when we hop to Mk. Thanks!

OP, are you planning on using your Tier 1 FP for Illuminations then? You definitely don't need to use it on Living with the Land.

She said she didn't want to use FP+ at Epcot at all, she wants to save them to use when she hops to Epcot.

It will be more than 30 minutes for sure. Soarin takes about 20 minutes depending on how many shows you have to wait through for your turn. Then you have a good distance to walk over to Test Track. A line will have built from the people who went there first and you'll already have FP+ return riders to factor in. I was there a recommended day in April and did Test Track at rope drop. The wait was 30 when I got to it at 9:01am and switched to 50 by 9:02am. We did single riders line instead in less than 20min. Good luck with your decision!

You could also do single rider at Test Track if the standby line is too long after Soarin'.

Depending on when you went in April, though, you might have hit the Spring Break crowd. I used a wait time forecaster to get those numbers for the OP's actual dates. But your experience could be the better indicator.

Either way, it's still a better bet to standby in Epcot if you're only interested in a few rides. Good luck! :)

Fair enough, however, I'm looking at a crowd calendar on easywdw.com that shows the 2nd week of August as a crowd level 7. The cheat sheet for Epcot forecasts a 60 min wait at Test Track by 9:30am on a level 7 day. FP+, rope drop or single riders are about the only way to get around a long wait at Test Track. Same for Soarin but there isn't a single riders line.

I don't see any way it's less than 20 minutes after going on Soarin. I'd say somewhere around 30-60 minutes. I don't see it being more than an hour wait, but unless you're riding during AM EMH, I would anticipate a wait.

It's going to be around 60 minutes, maybe more. We were in Epcot on a level 6 day and went to Test Track immediately at rope drop (we were very near the front of the crowd) and by the time we were finished, the wait was over an hour.

This is what we do. We walk right onto Soarin by being in front of the tapstile at RD and then head over to TT and ride a couple of times with the single rider line.
