OK, I really don't want to say it out loud, but I'm getting a little nervous. We leave in 23 days, and the HU*****NES are starting to make me a little antsy ...especially seeing how the repo is being beaten up by Hillary. And now it's looking like S. Florida is going to be put on watch for Katrina.

Anyway, my point is...does anyone know of a forecast site that makes semi-accurate predictions several weeks out? I know it's a long shot, but I figured there may be at least a general outlook for the next month. Just trying to look ahead...

None of the website will start tracking a system until it's a tropical depression. These can pop up at any moment and the tracking also depends on where the system forms. The latest storm that is being tracked didn't show up on the websites until either late last night or early this am.
I'm sorry that I can't be of more help, but you're just going to have to sit tight and keep an eye on everything as your cruise gets closer. We live in Florida and I track the storms all the time, especially after last year, and we just have to sit tight like everyone else!

If you can stream weather reports from a FL station, you'll get a pretty good idea of what's coming up (at least what they know). We're all a bit trigger happy here after last year . . .

We were on the Magic last year when the 7 day became a 4 day out of Ft. Lauderdale and it was interesting. However, we weren't scared off by it and we are cruising on the 9/17 cruise with you. I figure lightening can't strike twice all we can do is wait and watch with our fingers crossed!

That's the one we bailed out of!!! And instead of trying another cruise next month, we're going to Disney instead.

We were going on our first cruise when Dennis came. Who would have known that a hurricane would come in the middle of July. Anyway did WDW before the cruise and the day we were flying was the day that was the worst. But we just had rain and a little breeze that night and the next day was beautiful and the weather on the cruise was great!!! I was panicking for nothing.... We were lucky that Dennis went out more into the gulf than inwards more to Florida. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

My DH is in Insurance and they use www.hurricanetrack.com to keep up with the hurricane activity. We leave next week so I am hoping for no problems!
