So this is our first trip that I am having to plan around the crazy amount of Christmas parties... I'm not loving it. o_O lol We ARE doing one Christmas Party, but I also want to see the HEA show as well. I only have one night in my trip where it MAY be possible... but I think it's probably a stretch. If we are watching the Rivers of Light show at 6:30 at AK, is it possible for us to get over to MK in time for the fireworks at 9pm? ROL says it's only 15 minutes but I know it takes a good amount of time to travel over depending on what form of transportation we take. It won't be the end of the world if we can't see them... ok, might be close. lol

Maybe Uber/Lyft instead of bus it?
That would probably work.

Should not really be a problem. RoL is about 15 minutes. Even if it is packed, you should be at the bus station by 7:30 (absolute worst case). Wait for the bus and a 30 minute trip. Again, you should be at MK before 8:30. Then, your biggest problem will be getting through the crowd to find a place to watch HEA.
The easier option would be to take a taxi or Uber, but the buse system should still work.

Yup, the crowds will be high. I'm not looking for the best spot, I just want any spot (and might do it on my own, if my mom and son have had enough after our full day and just go back to WL). It was Wishes last time we went, and I don't know when I'll be back again... could be another 5 years before I'm able to go. Knowing it's possible is enough for now :) thanks all!

Wait. HEA will be playing on non party night's? I may have to upgrade to a park hopper. Hmmm...

We ARE doing one Christmas Party,

Isn't there fireworks during the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party? That may be a better time to see them, when you are at the party. Tho I don't know if it's the same fireworks.

It's a completely different fireworks show on party nights.

If I were you I would skip ROL. You might find yourself entering MK to a sea of people and unable to move past the train station to get any kind of view. It is a mad house on non-party nights.

How about booking the HEA fireworks dessert party? We haven't done one ourselves, but from what I've read it looks likes this might be a good option to have a reserved spot. I think they offer an After-Party dessert option that might work out better so you can see the fireworks without having to fight for a spot then enjoy the desserts.

I've now watched Happily Ever After from several different places.

(1) In the hub, very close to the castle (most crowded)
(2) On Main Street, near the ice cream parlor
(3) On Main Street, slightly in front of the Emporium and Confectionary
(4) From the TTC, across the Seven Seas Lagoon

I know everyone has their favorite view, but I found the show enjoyable in different ways from different places. Each one will give you different details. The closer you are to the castle, the more the projections tend to dominate the show. At the TTC, it's basically a fireworks show (but magical in different ways... and the fireworks look HUGE over the castle from that spot).

For OP's first viewing, it should not be too hard to find a spot halfway down Main Street, even right down to the last minute. From there, you get the best balance of not having to stake out your spot in advance and balance between projections and fireworks.

Thank you for those pointers for great spots :)

I am still playing around with my schedule, and found another day where we can leave Epcot at 5:30 and head over to MK for the fireworks, as we'll be watching Illuminations (or whatever it is if it's been replaced by then) on a different night. That will give us more room for travelling and getting there at a more decent time to find a spot. :)

You could do the HEA AFTER Plaza dessert party. This way you have a reserved spot right when you get there and then can go over to the dessert area and have a bite while the masses are exiting.

My newest update... I booked the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing on the day we are at HS. I would rather make sure I see HEA than watch Fantasmic again, so we'll stay at HS until around 5:30 that day (we'll be there from before rope drop for a breaky ADR) and then head over to MK knowing that we can just head for some yummy desserts and some guaranteed viewing of the fireworks! :)
