We will be 'in the area', somewhere mid California, and I would like to visit DL. DH does not want to 'take on' I-5 near LA or Anaheim. Does anyone know of a resort far from the maddening crowd that would provide round-trip transportation to DL? If I can't find something, I can't go :earseek: , so any help would be appreciated.

Are you asking for a hotel not too close to Disney but at the same time southeast of L.A.?

Yes, it could be northeast or southeast of DL. We are coming from the Napa area and going to AZ but hubby doesn't want to get near LA traffic. I don't even know if that's possible. Just thinking out loud here and need help.

Hmmmm.... how far into LA do you want to go?

I am sure that most popular hotels will have some type of transportation to Disneyland, or can arrange for transportation.

Another option would be to be near a metro or train station and take the train to Anaheim - that will take you to about 5 minutes from Disneyland & you can take a taxi from there.

The Mapquest route from Napa to Phoenix (presuming that's where in AZ you're going) avoids downtown LA but does go through Pasadena and Pomona before heading east on the I-10. I think at that point you've bypassed the worst of the LA traffic so the 20 mile side trip from there (Pomona) shouldn't be too daunting. I'd say just go for it, straight down the 57 to Anaheim. :D
