Don't wanna stay there anymore

Interesting. With all of the information inundating us these days 24/7, I think the last thing I'd want to do on vacation is read more news (even sports). As for getting a paper, do any hotels offer newspapers anymore? I just spent a week at a Ritz-Carlton, and there wasn't a paper to be seen anywhere (at least none anywhere conspicuous).
The Hampton inn has USA Today. Yea I like waking up and having cofffee and reading the paper on vacation. I especially liked the slantinel, because I grew up there.

They actually got rid of the newspapers in 2020 and never brought them back. Not even for sale.

We would never stay at RIV. Just does not do it for us. Likewise the Cabins at Fort Wilderness is not our jam. I think we would only stay at the tree houses at SSR and not the main resort. We stayed at the Tree Houses in the late 90's. They are pretty great. We would stay almost anywhere else.

We have stayed at BWV, OKW, BLT and VDH. BWV is our first resort and still love it. Usually stay there or BLT first 2 weeks in December. We recently added on at VGC and will choose that over VDH.

Our next trip we will be staying at AKV Jambo. A first for us.

A bit late to this thread, but if you’ve lost your love for AKV then I can only conclude that all happiness has left your soul 😛

It’s a very special place and unique in its global appeal
The only time it wasn’t the same was after COVID when they hadn’t brought back all the cultural representatives
can’t imagine a WDW stay without being there
Staying there this summer, starting at BWV for 3 nights then 7 days in value studio for 69 points! :dogdance:

Then over to VGF for 4 nights and then 3 nights in Club level, love that on last day as we have evening flight and great place to chill

Truly awe inspiring place that instantly takes all my worries and stresses away

We absolutely love AKV - home resort and stayed there many times. The only thing about it is the transportation and distance to MK, which is our kids favorite park. Those late night firework bus lines!

We've been staying at BLT most of the time, ironically our least favorite from a theming perspective... but nice to be able to walk to MK, catch the monorail over to Epcot without folding a stroller, and access to a quick service option outweighed the theming elements for us. AKL Kidani is amazing, but as large as it is the dining options are lacking.

AKV issue for me is busses everywhere and we had bad luck in the past with busses there unlike any other stay.
