HI --i just looked on the codes page given here and it has the dates of SEPT29-DEC 23 (I think it said) as a ANNUAL PASS holder rate for ALL STARS,,for $59.00---but when i called it said the OCT 4-7 $79.00 with that discount---I was told it went into a different season,,,I wonder why it didnt say that on the page with the discounts....it did say STARTS AT--so maybe that is what that means--I wish they would have broken it down more---I thought I was getting a $59 dollor rate----oh well at LEAST I am going !!!!!!

$59/night means - as low as $59. I dont know which post or place you are referring to that you saw this. But on wdwinfo.com (the home site for dis) on page http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-ap.htm#Current , the passholder deals are broken down as such -

Prices for FDV begin at:
$64 for a standard room at a Value Resort

Prices for FEX begin at:
$59 for a standard room at a Value Resort

Note the highlighted wording - begin.

There is also the possibility that the room you want may not be available, may not be available with this code, std may not be available, they tend to automatically quote preferred rooms. so anyway you add in the extra fro the season change then possible more extra for the possible preferred room it can make a difference. a rack rate value season std room is 82/night where a reg season preferred room is 111, a holiday season preferred is 141.

Yes that timeframe is two different seasons. For rooms during value season the rate starts at $59 a night (sep & early dec), and for regular season (Oct/Nov) the rate starts at $79 a night. It does actually say that in the AP email we received.
