Ok so I figure to get ready for our up coming trip that I would go ahead and try different recipes from allears.net...
So, I start with the french toast loaf...figured I could whip that up no problem...I'm a decent cook and I can follow a recipe so...why not right? WRONG!
I prep everything the way it calls for it in the recipe...the day old bread...the egg and heavy cream mixture-even did the right conversions (oz to cups/pints to cups etc)
This morning I go out come back and pop it in the oven...just as it stated...welll 2 hours later its finally hot enough to pull out of the oven...I let it sit for 15 minutes -as it stated to in the recipe...finally I flip it over onto another plate and I start to pick at it...it is a gooey mess!!!
and then it collapsed and looked like a trailer that had just burned down!!!
So, I go get BF (who thought this whole thing was a little sketch to begin with but was willing to be a good sport) and I tell him that all he is suppose to say is "Its ok Honey. It was a good try. We'll go get one when we are in Disney." (sometimes he needs que cards) So, he comes out...takes a look at it...we both have a good laugh...he asked which side he is supposed to eat from...I pointed to the corners and said "the crispy parts." He tried it...made a face and asked "what was I supposed to say?" So, I repeated his line and we both giggled and it was dumped...
Please don't try this at home...WDW has trained professionals...STAY AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN...
At least I tried...
