Don't they book your table when you book Hoop De Doo?

The CM who booked it was hurrying (I called 10 minutes to close) and was rushing me through everything. When I questioned what table it was she said she only books the reservation and the table gets booked either when you pick up the tickets or when you get seated. She didn't know which one it was and honestly she didn't sound like she knew what she was talking about at all.

Anyone in the know?

The CM is correct she will not know what table you are going to set at. Table and seating arrangements are made AFTER the location knows about how full the show is going to be. There are many factors to consider when mapping out the floor plan for the dinner shows. (Guest with special needs [wheelchairs, ect], your party size, the number of seats at each table, the tier you are paying for; to name a few)
Most floor maps are made out the day of.

In the past though, I've read that people have always got their table number when they book. Possibly it's changed since they changed to the tier seating. That's totally fine if it is, but when I questioned her she seemed to not know what she was talking about and even gave me contradicting and more than one answer. I just want to make sure I find out what is correct.

I don't think this is true. At least for the last few years table assignments are not known until a few days before the show. They are assigned in order of booking though, so the earlier you reserve, the better your table will be. But you won't know where the table is until you pick up your tickets.

We've been to HDDR many times and have never been told our table # when booking.

1) HDDR tables are booked 8-days in advance.
2) They are booked in the order of the ressie - earlier gets booked first.
3) Ressies made after 8-days prior get assigned when you make the ressie.
4) You know the exact table at ressie time with the 7-day window.

Thanks everyone, you all saved me a phone call. I had just thought I had remembered people getting their assignment when they booked. So glad all of you knew better!

Hoping for a front table. We booked at 180 days out and will be paying cash..not using the 2TS from dining plan. We were told the DDP persons were assigned to Tier 2 or 3.

It is a birthday celebration for my mother --80 years. I told the lady who made the ressie to note this celebration.

Keeping our fingers crossed!
