Spent some time in SAB this evening. Relatively empty. Watched some of Illuminations from the pool near HH. Sadly, no Sunken Treasures yet. We figured Monday night would work better

We just got upgraded to 1 bedroom suite and Club Level access. Woohoooo

Here is the update... guy was texting and receiving texts at the time of the accident DH is pushing the police hard to charge the guy with something(distracted or reckless driving that caused harm ). I am fairly upset as I had planned on sitting at SAB today and I am here instead

Injury update: pretty good all in all... the 2 ribs are only hairline fractures and I have not filled the pain med prescription and just took 2 Tylenol this morning and have not had anymore

I had two cuts on my head from when I fell I must have scrapped the back of my head on something on his vehicle. It bled a lot but I guess head wounds do that and I did not even need stitches

Bruised tailbone ( I have done this several times so even though it hurts its not too bad and I have grown accustomed to it)

Broken pinky

All in all not to bad, not a ton of bruising, just on my head which you cant even see because my hair covers it, my tailbone area, and pinky. I made DH take me on a walk around the neighborhood ( I can not sit still, it just isn't in me)

I told him we should not have cancelled and we should get on a plane tomorrow so I can recover poolside. They say water is good for healing Now to convince DH...

You are so positive! That's going to get you feeling better faster!

Wow, Couchy, glad you are ok... It could have been way worse than a postponed (or possibly just delayed?????) Disney trip.

Looked online and there are no garden view CL rooms for our first night, so Pop it is! The standard view rack rate was something like $596 a night (!!!!) so I think I'll stick with Pop.

8 more days of work before we go! Had a birthday supper at my mom's and she and my aunt almost let it slip a dozen times, then my sister called and almost let the cat out of the bag on the phone... OMG! Gotta lock the kids in a dark room for 2 weeks. Family and media blackout! LOL

Ugh! I am so sorry. I was taken out by a teen texting in 2009 - totaled my car and still haven't completely healed. I don't understand how someone could possibly think that they can text while operating a moving vehicle. :-(

Just had to share this....

For 2 weeks now I have been trying to add my 3 cousins that live in Orlando to our dinning reservation at cape may. We already had a reservation for 8 adults 3 kids. Today I called dinning talked with a CM about adding the 3. She placed me on hold and came back stating" I'm so happy we can add them to reservation".
And completed the call and hung up.

Later tonight I went into DME and noticed that not only did she add them but she made the reservation for 2 hrs later 8:30! Now I'm completely freaked my kids are small yet, that's a late dinner 4 them, our other fam is driving 2hrs to join us!

I call back plead my case nicely and explained that the CM never said she changed the timing only added 3 adults. She placed me on hold, but over 20 mins of being on hold she kept coming back on the line stating she was still working on it. To be honest I didn't think she was going to change us back to 6:30 reservation. She finally came back on and was able to move us back plus add the 3. I was completely shocked. Talk about

She said her supervisor listen to the orginal call and the CM never stated a time change. Thank god I checked DME! Could imagine showing up with 14 ppl 2 hours early for dinner!

I don't really know anything about the Lynx bus, but the trip from YC to TTC to DC but it sounds like a lengthy and inconvenient trip. You can't walk to the TTC from MK- you can take a monorail, but that just adds another step to the trip.

How many people are going? Have you priced out a taxi? It is probably pricey, but may be worth it.

According to this, it would be around $25 plus tip each way.

There are just two of us but think we'll get a taxi there and then get the bus back to DTD and maybe have dinner at WPE before heading to MK for the FP+ reservations I've made for the parade and wishes. Next question how do I get from DTD to MK?! I was thinking we could get the bus to CR then walk?

Now THIS is Disney service. We hear so many times where things go haywire. I wonder how many times things get straightened out and we never hear. Thanks for sharing pamkat!

Sounds fantastic so far!!!

I think this is the first official word about the Joffrey's coffee. They were installing the urns when I was there, but even the CM working at the counter did not know what I was talking about when I asked if they had switched over coffee brands.

If possible, can you take a picture of the coffee set up in your room and either post it here when you get back or email a picture to me? Many thanks!

I was hit by a car while walking my dogs today. Me and the pups were quietly minding our own business and crossing the street in the crosswalk with the signal when a car came roaring down the street and turned right, right into me

Just a quick check in. Les Chefs de France was yummy for dinner Friday. Even yummier was Yachtsman on Saturday night. Goodness everything was so good.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of meeting the illustrious Teena. Of course, I was behind in my reading so did not know about the anniversary. Happy Anniversary a bit late, Teena. Caitlin, Daniel, Gene and I enjoyed meeting you.

Off to Epcot today and maybe some touring of Monorail resorts.

Terrible time with our tickets. Reprinted 5 times...including rebooking 2 times and they still don't work properly. These are just KTTW Cards too, not Magic Bands! Every time a different issue. All was well until we got a call on our third day to come to the front desk because something in My Disney Experience wasn't linked correctly. This was the beginning of many hours of issues. At present it seems we can all get into the parks but we have 2 readies liked to our cards and some restaurants (Ragalan Road last night) can't seem to process a charge. Wish they had just left it alone!

That sounds like an excellent plan!!! Will get you to DC in the quickest manner, then you can relax, and take your time getting to the MK that night.

So is there any substance to the rumor that the Beach Club is planning a major refurbishment starting in January? We have reservations for Marathon weekend and I'd like an idea of disruptions at the resort.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for January.

Question about refurbishment was addressed in subsequent posts.

So we got lucky and applied a discount to our Poly reservation and saved quite a bit, but unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing available for the Beach Club. However, we were able to get a discount at the Yacht Club so we are only switching sides and still get enjoy sunken treasures at SAB!

Our new reservation is 12/5-12/11. YC CL SV. Now I need to start obsessively reading about the other side!

I was talking to a DW TA yesterday finalizing plans for my return to BC at the end of September and asked that question . She said it is still in the testing stages and are selecting people via E-mail and asking if they want to participate or not . Of course this can change at any time .

Sadly, I have had to re-book my YC stay in November to CR. I missed any availability for the discount for YC, so it's off to the Contemporary we go. I'm sure it will be great in its own way, but I am mourning the loss of the YC. However, it ended up being almost $900 less expensive and I didn't have a justification for that. Hopefully, next trip.....(sniff)

We had to cancel our YC stay but we moved it to POLY! We are excited to try a new resort but sad to be leaving SAB

Will miss you, too, but I'm sure you will have a fantastic stay at the Poly. Maybe if you bring along a copy of the Sunken Treasure recipe they can make one for you to enjoy on the beach.

I just did a search and could not find this information. When taking the Magical Express from the airport, will that bus only serve the Yacht and Beach Club or will be there other hotels as part of the route and how long to get there? We are meeting my in-laws at the Beach Club and are trying to give them an estimated time of arrival provided our flight is on time (which it will be ) Thanks!

As others have responded, the ME bus does typically share with other resorts and you should plan on 90 minutes from touchdown to arrival in the BC lobby.
