Definitely! It ought to be easy to do since we plan for those first 2 1/2 days to be strictly AKL time. I don't think we will go into the parks at all. The last time we stayed there was two weeks before my DH had his massive stroke and we are so ready to be back. If he is with me he will have a scooter that our daughters have nicknamed "The Red Comet!" If he is off gallivanting around the resort I will be the one with the big grin on my face.

Welcome back - sounds like you had a wonderful vacation! I plan on starting to read your TR when we get back from our upcoming trip. I have a change to my info on the guest list. We have decided to try out the Beach Club instead of Yacht Club this trip and added 1-night at the Boardwalk prior to our stay at the Beach Club (Jul 27-Aug 3). I am so excited to get to try out 2 new resorts (for us)!

Thank you so much for the great comparison! I am not sure I can rally the troops into BWI excitement exactly but they agree if it works, we will give it a try. Good luck with your decision! I dream of doing the PHM sometime.

I love BWI, BC and YC, and am currently changing my resort choice for the PHM every 15 minutes. (Also love Poly, and considering trying GF, so it's a real mess right now!)

Pools/slides: I do prefer the BWI slide because it's not enclosed and a ton of fun. It's also right there, so no need to cross the path and disappear on the other side of the pirate ship. I prefer SAB overall (I find it less crowded than Luna Park because there is so much more space at SAB.) As for quiet pools, I prefer the BWI quiet pool because it's entirely enclosed by the courtyard and the hot tub is super clean and in very good condition.

Dining: BC Marketplace is very convenient and has been far less hectic than the Boardwalk Bakery, but BB was under construction during our last visit, so things may have changed. Hurricane Hanna's offers far more than the bar at the Luna Park pool and the setting is more pleasant. SO happy that both BWI and BC offer self-serve refill mug stations - yay!

CL: I prefer the food at BC, but the lounge space at BWI is more comfortable with the high ceilings and long layout of the room.

Views: The water/boardwalk views at BWI are literally right on the water. I definitely prefer the view of BC/YC (with MK fireworks) from BWI over the view of BWI from BC/YC. Some don't like the close proximity to the Boardwalk, but I like it - most of the time, it's quiet with relaxing music. Just a few exceptions - like when the squeaky performer is out there.

Etc: I prefer the decor, music, lobby and theming at BC. But it's not all that different at BWI.

As for me, I still need to make a decision!

Well our boarding passes are printed, and we are leaving in the morning !
5 days in Grand Flo, Sugarloaf , and 6 days at our "home" away from home ........BC Deluxe CL.

Wont be able to check into this thread too much while on vacation, so I am guessing that when we get back, there will prob be a new thread started already and I will be lost.

See everyone on the flip side .......... off to WDW .

Hopefully we can get Teena some TastyKakes.........keep getting them at the store, and the kids keep eating them !!!!

So, I won a contest with a cash prize. Not huge but enough for the following news (DH insisted)...

I can't believe I am going back. But the prize covers the room cost, already have AP's and Southwest flights on my points... I was nervous about going back so soon but DH says "why not" . I gave him a list of reasons and he says... why have an AP if you are not going to use it This trip will only cost food OPP and drinks , but with TIW that should not be too bad

I'm assuming you used a TA. Check with him/her. A lot of times it has to go to the agency's office, then to your particular TA, and then to you. Making them a little later than usual.

It was awesome!! I wasn't expecting it for another week or so!

I don't think the front loaders were broken. That is normal procedure. As most HE front loaders have sensors once they get down to the 1 minute display, they will stop, spin gently, stop, "sense", until they (the clever machine) decide that the load is done. Sometimes it is a minute - sometimes it's 10. This is how mine works and most of the others I've come in contact with.

I'm under a week!!!!!!!!

My front loader does the same thing, 1 min lasts up to 10 mins! It just keeps spinning until the sensors tells its done.

I just did this from BC to OKW. You can call and they will pick up the luggage and transfer to your new resort BUT it doesn't arrive until between 1pm and 5pm SO be sure you don't need anything you transfer! Once your room is ready at the new resort you call bell service and they will bring it up to your room.

Hmmmm... was that button left for us at check-in by Teena a number of years ago? If so, I have one I could try to find too! Meanwhile I will look at the photos from the meet and put a face to the name.
