Long lost friends week...rare characters at Main Street area in MK.

Characters from Robin Hood, Chicken Little, Song of the South, and Princess and the Frog, IIRC. Also, rumors indicate Tweedledee and Tweedledum.

My goodness, how did Tiana and friends get "long lost" so fast?!?

Somebody is mad because Mommy, Nanny and Pop Pop are completely worn out from playing with Lily in the waves and it's time for her to take a break from the water..... Looks like we are going to have to send in reinforcements from the recreation staff at Storm Along Bay to keep Lily in the swim of things!

Oh the tragedy of it all!

Awe, look at that pout!! Too cute.

I found Johnny Depp!!!!! You'll never guess where he was. In MK on a ride called PoC. He had long hair and was wearing makeup. :confused

He didn't seem to hear me when I told him to come on back with me to BC! :wink

Come to think of it, he looked kind of plastic-y. :)

Less than a month to go now and I'm starting to get excited:). Since we first booked this holiday our lives have been turn upside down, my mum was diagnosed with and passed away from cancer, all within a month. Since then I have spent most of my time dealing with her estate and so the holiday planning has taken a back seat.

Anyway, we really looking forward to staying at the Beach Club and especially trying out the pools. There are four of us, two adult and two teens. I think that I've read that SAB gets really busy/noisy in the afternoons, are there some times when it will be quieter as well?

One more quick question, is it possible to rent a rollaway bed or would we be better buying a blow-up bed. My daughter doesn't mind sharing with me, but my son says that he would rather sleep on the floor that share. Also, if we get a blow up bed, is it ok to ask housekeeping for extra bedding (I wouldn't expect them to make the ned each day, we would do that).

:)

Some rooms have a day bed, so I would have that request on your reservation. And when you go to check in, ask again if it would be possible to get a room with the daybed. If its not possible you can as the desk for a rollaway. To my knowledge there isn't a charge.

So sorry about your mom.

I have a pretty cool pixie dust upgrade story from our trip to the Beach Club last September. Our kids are homeschooled so we always take our yearly Disney vacation in September when I feel park and resort crowds are at the low end of the spectrum. We had booked a deluxe concierge room and we were immediately greeted off the Magical Express bus by a staff member. She took us straight to the concierge floor and lounge for check in.

This was our first time at the Beach Club so we were pretty excited (last three trips were at the Poly). While we were being checked in I heard the staff member say "I see we have down for the two bedroom". I immediately looked at my wife with the "did I hear her correct look". She shot the same look back at me. At this point I starting thinking she would catch her obvious mistake as the two bedroom suite is a major upgrade over what we booked. She never mentioned the room choice again and finished up by showing us the resort map. She gave us a room assignment number and we got back on the elevator since the room was on the 1st floor. In the elevator me and my wife said at the same time "did she say two bedroom?!" We got off the elevator at started walking down the maze of halls to our room assignment.

The more we walked the more excited we got. At this point we were not 100% sure she really booked us into a room that goes for $1,500 a night. We ended up at almost the very end of the Beach Club nearest to Epcot. We walked up to the room and there was a door just like the rest. We opened it and were quickly disappointed as it was just a standard two queen room with a view of the quiet pool. I then noticed the door that can be used to access an adjoining room was slightly opened.

I pushed it opened and was greeted with the sight of a huge living room and wet bar. In the back was a king bedroom and another full bath! The view of this room was of the Boardwalk. Sweet! Needless to say we had plenty of room since it was only three of us on this particular trip. We had three TVs so it worked out nice. The only bad thing about this room was the length to SAB and the lobby. One big plus however was that we were basically a stone's throw from the back entrance of Epcot. At night we would walk a few hundred feet into Epcot, watch Illuminations, and be back in bed Lickity split. It was truly a magical upgrade.

We love the Poly but the easy access to Epcot and the incredible SAB pool make them a toss up for me. Both are great.

 great upgrade!!

Too excited to sleep...flight leaves in 10 hours...YC here we come!

Since someone had to take Johnny Depp home with her, maybe Orlando Bloom will move into the hot tub?

Maybe Kierra Knightly or that Penelope Cruz will show

Wow. You just brought back old memories. I lived in Mass. until I was 13 (family was from Rutland) and went to Whalom Park every year for my birthday. My first roller coaster experience lol.

I grew up summering in Hull/Nantasket Beach, home to Paragon Park. Lots of great memories and the only park I had to compare Disney to when we first went in the mid 80's. Obviously I was blown away and my love of all things Disney began.

Happy Monday all!

We're booked at YC in November - right now we have a lagoon/pool view room.

I've been trying to figure out what room category has the best chance of seeing fireworks/Illuminations stuff. Or is it not really visible enough to be worth it? We'll have our DD2 with us, and DH and I would love to sit on the balcony with a drink and take in the view....just not sure what view would be best! Also, any info on the odds of getting a lagoon vs. pool view?

I'm also anxiously waiting for fall discounts to come out - would love some sort of room-only discount --- so depending on what comes out/what rooms are included, we may switch up our room view.

Sorry but I packed him in my luggage and took him home with me. Was i not suppose to do that :confused3 ooppps

Some things at hotels at complementary and some aren't. He was not complementary and was supposed to be left for the next guest. :)

Ack! My 9:25 AM flight has been delayed unti 2:00 PM!

AirTran did not send text notifying us of change so we got to airport for on-time flight.

Not a good way to start vacation..
