Not sure a T-shirt would hold a grey-goose slushy :drinking1...was hoping they had some sort of travel mug. I'm sure I'll find one somewhere.

TY so much for checking!!!
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted a BC insulated mug. They have WDW travel coffee mugs. I'll shoot a pic of it tomorrow.

Hi, Everyone!

My family will be staying at the BCV in October, so now that we're under 100 days I'm starting to really think about some of the logistical things.

I'll apologize in advance for not reading everyone's comments, although I did read a lot of the "STUFF" about the hotels...

How do you best fit a Pack N Play in a Studio at BCV? I was looking at the pictures of the room's configuration and I think the only way would be to have it right up against the side of the bed.

Any thoughts from those that have done it before?

Thanks!!

I have a pretty cool pixie dust upgrade story from our trip to the Beach Club last September. Our kids are homeschooled so we always take our yearly Disney vacation in September when I feel park and resort crowds are at the low end of the spectrum. We had booked a deluxe concierge room and we were immediately greeted off the Magical Express bus by a staff member. She took us straight to the concierge floor and lounge for check in.

This was our first time at the Beach Club so we were pretty excited (last three trips were at the Poly). While we were being checked in I heard the staff member say "I see we have down for the two bedroom". I immediately looked at my wife with the "did I hear her correct look". She shot the same look back at me. At this point I starting thinking she would catch her obvious mistake as the two bedroom suite is a major upgrade over what we booked. She never mentioned the room choice again and finished up by showing us the resort map. She gave us a room assignment number and we got back on the elevator since the room was on the 1st floor. In the elevator me and my wife said at the same time "did she say two bedroom?!" We got off the elevator at started walking down the maze of halls to our room assignment.

The more we walked the more excited we got. At this point we were not 100% sure she really booked us into a room that goes for $1,500 a night. We ended up at almost the very end of the Beach Club nearest to Epcot. We walked up to the room and there was a door just like the rest. We opened it and were quickly disappointed as it was just a standard two queen room with a view of the quiet pool. I then noticed the door that can be used to access an adjoining room was slightly opened.

I pushed it opened and was greeted with the sight of a huge living room and wet bar. In the back was a king bedroom and another full bath! The view of this room was of the Boardwalk. Sweet! Needless to say we had plenty of room since it was only three of us on this particular trip. We had three TVs so it worked out nice. The only bad thing about this room was the length to SAB and the lobby. One big plus however was that we were basically a stone's throw from the back entrance of Epcot. At night we would walk a few hundred feet into Epcot, watch Illuminations, and be back in bed Lickity split. It was truly a magical upgrade.

We love the Poly but the easy access to Epcot and the incredible SAB pool make them a toss up for me. Both are great.

When we used one, we put it in between the two beds. It fit perfectly between the beds.

Couchy & Nanette- I'm so jealous how many times you've been to Disney this year :furious:! I want to be like you! I'm so excited to have 2 trips this year & hope to get a spring trip with DH (my sister has also been asking for me to go with her & my nephew.... If only social workers were rich). This AP is going to do me in....
!

Oh, we are not rich. I am a teacher and definitely not rich :rolleyes2 DH is also not in a career field to make him rich. We just don't spend much money outside of travel. We keep our expenses on a daily basis low so we can go. We look for deals and fly on SW points:thumbsup2

Wow! Keeping up with this page is so challenging when you're on vacation! And I've found I'm a terrible live dining reporter! I keep forgetting to take pictures of my food before I eat it! :-)

OK, where did I leave off yesterday.....oh yes, I said "NO" to my nap and headed down to SAB. It was 1:30pm and CROWDED! Not unusual. So we walked over to our favorite area near the volleyball game to find a seat. I found one lounger free of any items so I walked over and asked the dude next to it if anyone was using it. He pointed to the little boy at the seat next to it and said that his family was but they are leaving. Hurray! The mom walks over, starts yelling at the boy, gathers up her belongings and leaves. We have there chairs! Woo hoo! Guess what she leaves behind? Do I even need to tell you? Mind you, all five of us were waiting to vacate the area so we could claim the chairs so I have witnesses.....she leaves behind all of their wet, used pool towels! Unfreakingbelievable! So I commented to the dude next to us how thoughtful they were to leave us their used towels. He said, "yeah...they were marvelous! You have high standards to live up to!" My first thought was that I couldn't wait to tell my YC/BC friends this story.

We have a lovely time at SAB but the kids said they didn't go down the slide because the line was too long. Instead they played volleyball and hung in the lazy river. I realized we hadn't eaten real food since 7am and it was three hours before our dinner reservations so I headed over to HH and got us two meals to share.....the kids shared a bacon hamburger while Joel and I shared the lobster roll. It hit the spot! Dummy me threw out the cookie we forgot to eat! DUH!

While we were finishing our lunch a brief rain ensued but to the west more rain was coming. So my family stayed until the monsoon came and I left ahead of the rain to go back to the room to get ready for dinner.

We met my sister-in-law and her husband and son for dinner at Cape May. We all loved it....crab legs, Mac and cheese (best we've ever had!), carved beef, mashed potatoes, peel and eat shrimp.....and the desserts were phenomenal! Boston Cream Cake, blueberry lemon cheesecake, brownies, flan, strawberry shortcake....mmmmm mmmmmm good!

After dinner we headed to Epcot. The rain had stopped by then and dramatically lowered the temperatures. We went on TT, M:S, Nemo and Soarin. We got in line for Soarin at 8:52pm much to my husbands chagrin because the standby time was 60 minutes. I knew the actual wait would be much shorter...and it was! We were done and walking off the ride at exactly 9:30! At the end of the night, don't let the wait times fool you...they artificially inflate wait times so you don't want to ride it. They do the same with the queues....they push it out the door with no wait inside to make it look like a loooonnnngggg wait.

Epcot was dead last night and I would like to thank the rain for that! The rain sent everyone home so my family could enjoy a lovely, rain-free evening at Epcot.

On today's agenda, we will spend the morning and afternoon at SAB them head over to MK for dinner at BOG and our Wishes Dessert Party at EMH until 1am! Woo hoo!!! Mother Nature...please don't rain during Wishes.

See ya later!

Sounds perfect. Love the story.

Oh one more thing......who hid Johnny Depp??? He was NOT in the hot tub yesterday! Only some gangly kids and a old chap with some gnarly teeth. Couchy, what did you do with him? Nannette, did you hide him in your room? :rotfl

Not only that but New England teachers. Ugh

Countdown can be done on my fingers and toes now

BOG, Boma, 'Ohana, CP, RnC, HBD
Plus Seaworld

Can't wait

Nannette....we are going to be at SAB when it opens. You better send Johnny back! Maybe we'll see you there!

Lol! I spent about 4 hours at SAB today... I arrived at opening and left around 2:15. I was the first one in on the YC side.. FAMILY OF THE DAY Party of ONE!! Pretty sure I fell asleep in the chair!

Had a nice walk over to Disney Studio's had dinner at Sci-Fi.. not a fan, but I can at least say I've been there now. Did the Idol Experience twice so I could see who won. Decided that I have been sooooo bad with eating/drinking while I've been here that I walked back from Disney Studio's too! Walked all the way around the boardwalk and then over to Dolphin for some dessert then walked back! Came up to the room and got everything packed up for my move tomorrow over to Old Key West. I have the Magic to Marceline tour at 8:30am tomorrow so I think I'll just check everything with bell services and have it all transferred over to OKW or I'll come back to BC and then cab it over there with my stuff we'll see!

Time to sleep have an early day tomorrow!!

Fun day!!! So glad you scored some chairs. You should see if you can find that family tomorrow and deliver her some wet towels. Lol. She did leave them "behind." Lol

I love soarin!!! Have fun tomorrow!

Somebody is mad because Mommy, Nanny and Pop Pop are completely worn out from playing with Lily in the waves and it's time for her to take a break from the water..... Looks like we are going to have to send in reinforcements from the recreation staff at Storm Along Bay to keep Lily in the swim of things!

That is a precious pic!

Too excited to sleep...flight leaves in 10 hours...YC here we come!

Since someone had to take Johnny Depp home with her, maybe Orlando Bloom will move into the hot tub?

Unfortunately with corn, as you probably know, unless its really really fresh, it just doesn't do well. Tomatoes are easier ... they stay good for a while!!

I live 45-60 minutes away from WDW. Since I only work two days a week at the most, it's an okay drive. If anybody brings tomatoes or corn and arrives a day I'm not working, please let me know in advance and I'll drive in for sure to get them. I'd be glad to pay you for them of course!!!!

As of this moment, I have no trips planned for September. However, we are hoping to perhaps book the Disney Fantasy for the week 9/21-28. I have to see how much money is left in our fun account after Jeanne and Princess Lily are here for two weeks in early August. We are finding that a Princess is very high maintenance.

So very true! My little princess is also high maintenance.

Thank you to all of you that send live reports of your trips! I am getting so excited! One month from tomorrow we will be arriving in Orlando after driving down. We have a day at Seaworld, and one day at each of the parks that shall not be named, before we check in at the
BC for 6 nights. Woohoo!:cool1:
