Don't Mind the Blurry Pics * Finished 10/19/06

We got inline for Maelstrom. I asked Eric how he was feeling, because there is that little drop in it and if he was drunk or whatever, I didn't want to risk him throwing up, ya know. So anyways, the guy in front of us was like, "There's a drop on this ride? Thanks for letting me know." Anyways I pointed out the seaman who was wearing the Mickey ears (one of the few hidden Mickeys I can find).

I have always been a big fan of Norway. I don't know why. Ever since I was little. Anyways, no Norwegian beer either. We agreed to wait until after dinner, because I would be getting a Margarita soon, and wouldn't help Eric drink it.

I love the inside of the Mexican pavillion. I think it is so pretty. Anyways, we were looking at stuff found some Habanero (sp) salsa. I wanted to get it. But we agreed to get it after dinner.

I got my Fiesta margarita $8.26, and then we headed to the camera center to get our free picture. I did take a pic of it, but I must have deleted it. It wasn't like a margarita I get around here. I don't know, maybe there wasn't enough taquilla (sp) in it? The mango was gross. I hate mango. The rest was pretty good. I chugged that thing. I was pretty buzzed by the time we got to the camera center.

I take about that may too. All my friends think I'm crazy but I love capturing every moment of Disney.

They really thought I was insane  when I spent almost $250.00 developing my memory cards.

I planned on taking a ton of pics. I had enough for 1600 pics or something like that. I didn't intend to develop them, not all of the at least. I decided I would do a DVD-photo album instead.

BTW what part of Lousiana is Pineville in?

See I have a ton of photo albums, but I never take them out. But the DVD is right there and I can make one for everyone and for every room! HAHA, so when we wanna look at pics, just take it out and pop it in the DVD player.

I was going to go to college in Ruston.

I take that many pictures also. Well, maybe like 800, but I develop all of them and put them into photo albums with explanations of everything. It all takes about 2 weeks from when I get home, but looking back makes it all worth it.

We headed to Le Cellier for dinner. I was looking forward to this meal for months.

DSCN1254.jpg

DSCN1256.jpg

I ordered the cheese soup and Eric got the beef tenderloin thing. I forgot to take pics. The soup was really good. For some reason, I got the idea that my bowl of soup was smaller than others. I seen some wait staff carrying bowls of it around and they were bigger than mine. Eric ordered his tenderloin medium. It was good. I forgot to take pics, because we were deep in convo.
Eric ordered a Canadian beer. But we didn't know about them. He asked the waitress which was a light beer, he didn't want a dark one. She suggested on and that's what Eric ordered. It was on the dark side.
DSCN1257.jpg

For entrees I got the NY Strip and Eric got the BBQ Filet. I ordered mine medium well and Eric got his medium. I tried the filet, it was good, but a bit tough. I think it had to do with it being medium and not medium rare. Eric liked it. The cream cheese potatos were ok, nothing special. I barely put a dent in my NY strip. It was good, but NY strip isn't my favorite cut of beef (filet followed by sirloin). The potatos were also ok. I do think the steak would have been better with the veal demi-glaze on the side or not at all.
DSCN1258.jpg

DSCN1259.jpg

Eric, of course wasn't feeling good again. For dessert I ordered the berry cobbler thing and Eric got the chocolate whiskey cake. He actually doesn't like chocolate at all. He didn't want dessert, I just ordered it so I could try it. :) The cake did nothing for me, but the berry cobbler was amazing! YUMMMY. Total for the meal was.... $108.48 and the beer was $7.17 including tip.

I appologize that the pics are so dark. I didn't realize my camera had a dark picture option. Oh well..

We went and got our EMH bracelets and went to wait for Illuminations. I was so excited. Eric wasn't feeling well. He wanted to leave. Then it started to rain... it was all over. We missed the last firework show of the trip....

Well we went to the bus stop and waited. A bus came and filled up, we were up front of the line for the next bus. We waited, and waited, and waited. We started talking to a family who was waiting there also. Eric and the husband were talking about the buses and the gas milage they get. Then the husband pointed out that if a bus comes and no one is in line, they drive around the parking lot a bit, and then park. Well there was a Pop Century bus just sitting there. We are like, hello, come get us. Well like 20 min later (probably not, Illuminations wasn't over) the bus finally comes and starts to load those in EVCs and wheelchairs... then another bus pulls up. We boarded that bus. On the way back to the hotel it started to storm really bad. Ok, now I'm not resenting Eric so much for making us leave.

Anyways, we got back to our room and we had a surprise!

Was the animal in the picture your surprise? We need more... :teeth:

LOL! The animal is an Ewok! Isn't he cute! Yeah.. we were there a while and nothing happened.. ya know surprises from the mousekeeper like towel animals. I just assumed that we just not gotten one that did that stuff. Not a big deal. But when I came back to the room that night and Mr. Ewok was in the window it surprised me.

I'm not sure if our mousekeeper got switched or what not, I didn't really see anyone in the area with towel animals or window displays til that day. But I know that the day before when I was walking back to our room I passed the mousekeeper and she smiled at me. This probably sounds weird.. but it was probably one of the best smiles I seen the whole trip from anyone.

I'll post pics of all the souvieneers (sp) I bought over the trip. But I won't do it until I sent out my sister's gift and she gets it because I don't want her to see it before hand (since the pics go on photobucket and she has the links to them).

Eeyore's Tiara said:
So did you get more than just the Ewok in the window? Did you get towel animals and stuff?

We didn't get any towel animals. But one day we came back to our room and we had something like 20 wash clothes around the bathroom folded pretty.... I didnt take a picture of it.. because I didn't realize it until later.

Maybe your bowl of soup was smaller than others because they ordered it as a meal???? I'm not sure, but I think if you just order soup the bowls are larger?? Anyway I loved reading your trip report, you are so funny and very patient with your boyfriend. ha,ha :rotfl:

Ok I'm going to try to finish this today because I'm leaving for New York tomorrow. I'm not making any promises. I appologize for not keeping up with this lately, I have been pretty busy.

This is our final full day left in Disney World.

Since yesterday we didn't use our CS I decided to go get actual breakfast. I asked Eric what he wanted and went to the food court to get it.
I got two Pop waffles with strawberry topping (were they supposed to come with bacon?). Eric wanted an OJ and I got a chocolate milk. The total was $16.01. They were good, it was a lot of waffle. I think Eric and I could have split one.

Off to the Animal Kingdom. One thing I found out is the more I visit the Animal Kingdom the more I like it.

DSCN1264.jpg

After we walked through the turnstiles, Eric noticed there was a palm tree curising around talking to people. I tried to snap a pic of it.

We headed to Kali River Rapids first. That way we could blow dry on Expedition Everest.

DSCN1270.jpg

It says 10 min. There was NO ONE in line. We loaded our raft with another family who had remained on from their last trip. The father and son were soaked. The mom and daughter were dry. So we were talking about it. I put my feet up on the handle bars. Hey I don't want my feet being soaked all day! I tried to pay more attention to the senery this time. We road it again since there was no ride. We didn't get very wet either time. Just little sprinkles.

DSCN1274.jpg

I had the free coupon for the pic and all that. We road Expedition Everest once. I have never been on a roller coaster that went backwards before. So we looked at our pics and decided to ride again. So we did. Oh boy that was a bad idea. I'm pretty sure what got me was those upward helixes. I was really dizzy. The pic wasn't very good either, but I couldn't ride it again, I had to wait until later. One of the cars the guy was acting like he was sleeping. I could never do that!

We headed to Dinoland.

DSCN1275.jpg

DSCN1276.jpg

I decided we'd go on Primeval Whirl. My sister and I road it like 9823470198347 times in 2004. I love that ride. It was a bit of a wait, definately one of the longest we had the whole trip.
DSCN1277.jpg

DSCN1278.jpg

I bet many of you are thinking something right now... about me being dizzy from EE and then going on Primeval Whirl. I never thought it was bad... but the little dizzy I was from EE... made Primeval Whirl really really bad. It pushed Eric over the edge too... but I could barely walk. I'm not kidding either. If you saw me you would think I was drunk at 10 am!

Anyways, I knew we just needed to go something in the a/c where we could just sit, so we headed to Restarantourus or whatever. There was a CM standing outside saying that the restaurant was closed. OOOOOHHHHH BOOOY!! I thought I was going to die. We sat at the little tables for a bit, but it was too hot. I suggested we walk to Tusker House and hope they are open. We did and they were.

DSCN1281.jpg

DSCN1280.jpg

I decided we'd just get lunch there. I got a rotisserie chicken and a carrot cake. Eric got a fried chicken sandwich and a cheesecake. Total came to $27.73. The chicken was really good, nice a moist. Had a lot of flavor too. I really liked the green beans it came with though. They were the best! The carrot cake was good. The only problem was there was some sort of nut shell in there that nearly cracked a tooth (to let you realize how bad it was, I have a tongue ring, and I have chomped down on that several time, and this nut shell was just like that). Eric said his sandwich was good. The cheesecake had no flavor.
DSCN1279.jpg

Since we were in Africa we headed to Kilimanjaro Safaris. I figured this was a little herky-jerky, but wasn't that bad.

DSCN1285.jpg

This also had a really long wait. I later determined that even though we went to all the other parks on their EMH days, this park was way busier.

One of the traditions I have is that I have to buy a stuffed animal when I'm in the Animal Kingdom. In 2002 I bought a Flamingo, in 2004 a Hippo. This year I had Eric pick it out. He picked an Elephant. It cost $12.78. I don't know the name of the store, I just know where it is.

We also stopped and got a bottled water. $2.50.

When I took this pic, I guess the guy in the booth yelled at me because he wasn't smiling when I took the picture. I didn't hear him, Eric told me. GOD I'm deaf when I'm taking pics!
DSCN1341.jpg

I love this show, I think it's amasing. Unfortunately, I had a really bad panic attack that lasted the length of the show, so I didn't really enjoy it as much as I would have loved to. Of course as soon as the thing is over, my panic attack goes away!

Eric wanted to leave since he wasn't feeling well. I ok. But there were still a couple of cool rides we had to hit up.

I asked Eric which of these 3D movies he liked the best... he picked Mickey's PhilharMagic.

DSCN1352.jpg

I think this is a fun ride. We left after it. I had that coupon for the free picture and I didn't want it to go to waste, so I kept stopping people asking them if they wanted it. Most said no, the ride was too rough for them. Finally I found a British family that was more than happy to take it off my hands. Good!

We headed back to the room for a shower and a nap before we went to Boma. It was about 3:30 pm.

DSCN1353.jpg

When we went to go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge we had to take a bus to another park, since the Animal Kingdom was closed by now. We decided on Disney Studios.

Laugh at me if you want, I took a pic of the sherff's car because I have never in my entire life seen an Intrepid used as a police car (I know they do it, I just never saw it before)!
