Great pics. I love reading trip reports with pictures.
Yeah I agree.. that's why I tried to take a lot of pics.

Lovin your trip so far! Did you do anything special (food wise) for your anniversary? My friends are taking a trip there in the next 2 weeks, and I wanted to surprise them at one of their ADR's...

Well since we were on the dining plan, pretty much all the table services were "special." But not really. Chef Mickey's had it on our ADRs, but nothing special happened (we weren't there long though). I wanted either 'Ohanas or Le Cellier to be the "special" dinner, but I forgot when we checked in at 'Ohanas, and I think Eric and I were a lil tipsy at Le Cellier (from drinking around the world) to actually care.

I'm not sure what you can really do, because you aren't guarenteed to get anything, or anything special to happen. But I know you can order cakes and have them delivered.

I hope this helps.

We headed to Frontierland for some mountain hopping.

DSCN0552.jpg

The waits were minimal, so we walked over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to get a fastpass. Then it was on to Splash Mountain.

DSCN0556.jpg

DSCN0557.jpg

DSCN0558.jpg

We walked right on. Splash Mountain has become one of my favorites over the years. This time I got to see the hidden Mickey at the big drop and the little critter that says "GO FSU!" (A little aside, my dad said that the little critter must not always be there and is only there now because it's football season. ) Eric got wet, I got just a sprinkle. They usually have a water canon thing or something that shoots water sometimes when the logs go down the big drop, but it wasn't running when we were on it.

Then to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
DSCN0559.jpg

DSCN0560.jpg

DSCN0561.jpg

DSCN0562.jpg

I think we had a little bit of a wait, like had to wait for two trains to run through. I think Eric liked it. He's not much on expressing his feelings.

We headed off to Liberty Square for the Haunted Mansion. As we walked pass the little canal, we saw the little rafts going to Tom Saywer Island. I asked Eric if he wanted to go over there and he's like "I don't want to ride a raft." And I was like "Hunny, it's an island with like trails and stuff' (or something).
DSCN0563.jpg

DSCN0564.jpg

DSCN0565.jpg

DSCN0566.jpg

DSCN0567.jpg

DSCN0568.jpg

Anyways, we got to the Haunted Mansion.
DSCN0569.jpg

DSCN0570.jpg

The cast member at the entrance gave us the little time card. The guys behind us (college aged) were like, "MAN! I wanted that!" Eric asked what it was and I explained it to him (I don't think he listened to me though).
DSCN0571.jpg

I appologize, some how I forgot to take a picture of the mansion itself. I don't know how I did. :confused3 Anyways, I kind of don't like it when there isn't a line. I feel like I don't have enough time to take in all the surroundings like the graves. Anyways we got to the front door and were let right in. We got into the room with no doors and there was about 10 of us in there. So when the narrator said "please move in and make room for all the bodies" (or whatever it is he says) we all laughed. I really think that the cast members that work the Haunted Mansion get a great job (well the ones inside at least). They get to wear these outfits that fit perfectly with the theming. This was the first ride we had been on that had the moving platform when you load the ride vehicle. Eric thought it was the coolest. Well we board our doombuggy and we're off. I love the Haunted Mansion. I can't say that enough. Anyways, the doombuggy in front of us kept taking flash pictures. Now I know I said it didn't bother me in Pirates of the Caribbean, but these people were doing it ever 5 seconds and I think the Haunted Mansion is much darker than Pirates, so when it flashes you can't see as much detail. Anyways, when we got to the ballroom scene they continued to take more pictures... I couldn't handle it anymore, I was going to explode! :furious: I leaned forward and yelled as loud as I could "STOP TAKING $#*#*@*(&#$ FLASH PICTURES!" I'm sorry, but I will say there were no kids around. I just couldn't take it. I mean how dumb do you have to be, again I'm sorry. BUT THEY SAY DON'T TAKE FLASH PICTURES! Even my brother who never paid attention to any of that hogwash knew you couldn't take flash pictures. I was expecting them (those I yelled at) to say something to me after the ride, but they didn't.

I don't think Eric particularly liked the Haunted Mansion, but more on that later. We headed to Fantasyland. I told Eric we would check out a couple of the rides here and go eat lunch (we were trying to eat early lunches so that we would be hungry for dinner).
DSCN0572.jpg

It's a Small World always has short lines, and if they are long, they generally move pretty fast, so I decided we'd ride Peter Pan's Flight.
DSCN0573.jpg

DSCN0574.jpg

We did have a bit of a wait, no more than 10 mins. Probably 5 mins is more like it. Eric was excited because there was the moving platform. He was also excited that he figured out how the front of the ship pulls in to "close" up the vehicle. Again, I don't think Eric cared very much for this ride.

Then it was to It's A Small World.
DSCN0575.jpg

DSCN0576.jpg

Walk on. I think it looks great after the refurbishment (sp). The colors are bright and vivid. I should have attempted to take pictures. Not even minutes after boarding the boat Eric says to me "Great now I have this song stuck in my head!"

It was about 11:00 so we headed back to Frontierland for lunch at Pecos Bill's.
DSCN0578.jpg

DSCN0579.jpg

DSCN0580.jpg

I was surprised at how long the lines were. We must have waited about 15 min before we could order (of course there were so many who would get up to the podium (sp) and not know what they want). It's rather interesting listening to people. A family behind us was rather loud. One of the daughters wanted something, I can't remember what, but her father kept yelling at her "THEY DON'T HAVE THAT HERE YOU HAVE TO GET A CHEESEBURGER!" They it for like the entire time we were in line.

We had no problem ordering. Eric got a double bacon cheeseburger and I got the chicken wrap. We also got two 32 oz Sprites (not our choice, that's what the cashier gave us) and two peanut butter brownies.
DSCN0581.jpg

We went to the toppings bar and got the cheese sauce, ketchup, mushrooms, etc. I didn't see any tables inside and I really didn't want to eat outside, but I figured there had to be tables because I don't remember anyone complaining about having to sit outside. Eric saw a sign and we headed that way. It was packed. We did find a table though. My chicken wrap was ok, I wouldn't order it again. It was mostly lettus. If I wanted lettus I would have ordered a salad. But Eric's cheeseburger was really good. I'm definately getting one of those next time! Total cost of the meal $26.35.

Eric started to feel sick, so we decided to go back to the hotel and rest for a bit.

We got back to Pop Century and Eric wanted to get a beer. So we went to Petals. Eric got a Corona and I got a Sunken Treasure.
DSCN0582.jpg

The Sunken Treasure was good, but not as good as the Cosmic Smuggler. Total came to $15.05 with tip.

We took a nap and relaxed for a bit before heading back to the Magic Kingdom. My feet were hurting so I put moleskin on my hotspots and put on a different pair of socks (they came up a bit higher than my ankle socks I was wearing) and my other pair of sneakers.

We headed back to the Magic Kingdom to do some rides before dinner at 'Ohana.

DSCN0583.jpg

We went to ride the Jungle Cruise since it wasn't open earlier. I had wanted to try a dole whip, but I was so full from lunch. I told myself we'd go back later.
DSCN0584.jpg

DSCN0585.jpg

DSCN0606.jpg

I love the Jungle Cruise and all the corny jokes they tell. After getting on it I finally realized where I heard "And over there is a 1971 Impala" (my sister and I were convinced it was on Kilimanjaro Safaris, but we watched the video over and over again and couldn't find it, and I knew I didn't just make it up).

Then we headed to Fantasyland to pick up where we left off.
DSCN0611.jpg

DSCN0612.jpg

Mickey's PhilharMagic. My favorite of all the 3D shows in Disney World.
DSCN0613.jpg

DSCN0614.jpg

The only wait we had was for the previous show to finish.

DSCN0615.jpg

DSCN0616.jpg

Then we headed to Mickey's Toontown Fair to tour the houses and meet the mouses. (HAHAH! I just made that up right now! :rotfl2: )
DSCN0617.jpg

Anyways, there was one of the ball carts near the entrance, and they were playing with one of the big ones (maybe 3.5 to 4 feet in diameter). Eric had to have one. He wanted the big one, but it was $100. He got the next size down (2 to 3 feet in diameter) for $50. Well I hope he likes it a lot (a little aside, the day we got home, he and his friends play with it for like an hour).

All of a sudden it started to rain which turned into a downpour. We walked (Eric doesn't run in the rain  ) to Minnie's house since that was the closest.
DSCN0618.jpg

DSCN0619.jpg

DSCN0620.jpg

DSCN0621.jpg

There was a lot of people in there. Not that I was surprised. Well we went from Minnie's house to the giant store that's near by. We walked around there and waited for the rain to let up a bit before we headed to Tomorrowland.

We went straight to Space Mountain. No line what-so-ever. We took the left track. It was fun, a lot more fun than other times I remember. Eric really liked it. YAY! :bounce: Anyways, we were near blown dry, so we decided to ride it again and finish off the job. By then the rain had stopped.
DSCN0622.jpg

DSCN0623.jpg

Then we headed to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I think this is one of the coolest rides, but I cannot steer and shoot at the same time! Eric definately kicked my butt!
DSCN0624.jpg

DSCN0625.jpg

There was a little bit of wait, but not much at all, like two minutes.

Then to Carousel of Progress. :lovestruc
DSCN0627.jpg

Buzz was leaving as we were arriving.
DSCN0628.jpg

Then to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority!
DSCN0629.jpg

DSCN0630.jpg

DSCN0632.jpg

DSCN0637.jpg

Since it was not raining anymore, I decided we should go back to Mickey's Toontown Fair to finish of the tours and meet Mickey.

We decided to take the train to Main Street and then go to the Polynesian to walk around before dinner.

wonderful shots and wonderful report......thanks so much for doing this

Aww thanks! I really felt bad using nono words in the World....

I will be working on getting more up... it takes longer to upload all the pics to the net than it does to type up the reports.

enjoying your reports and pics - thanks for sharing!

So we leave the Magic Kingdom and I specifically wanted to take the monorail in hopes we could ride up front. We had plenty of time, so if it took a couple of monorails, it'd be ok. Anyways, you know how there are two sides for the monorail platform right? Well, the resorts monorail is the farther one away, so I walk towards that one and Eric is like, "The monorail is over here." And I said, "that one doesn't stop at the Polynesian, we have to take this one over here." He couldn't quite grasp the concept. I dunno. We asked the platform attendants and they said it was ok as long as there wasn't someone already up front and if there was if we wanted to wait. We talked to the platform attendent who was up towards the front and he asked us a bunch of questions about how long we were staying, if we were doing anything special, how our trip was going so far, etc.
DSCN0661.jpg

DSCN0662.jpg

DSCN0663.jpg

They asked if we minded sharing the front of the monorail with a girl and her little sister (their mother was right behind the head car) and of course we didn't.
DSCN0664.jpg

DSCN0665.jpg

DSCN0666.jpg

Eric asked the monorail driver a few questions about the monorail and driving it (mostly about why are there lights when it's on a track, goofy stuff like that). The driver wasn't very clear about his answers, and kind of annoyed by the questions.

So we arrived at the Polynesian resort. I think it's really pretty there.
DSCN0667.jpg

DSCN0668.jpg

I wasn't very sure where there was to go there, so we checked in at 'Ohana 40 mins early. I just assumed we'd get drinks at the lounge.
DSCN0669.jpg

DSCN0670.jpg

DSCN0671.jpg

Well I didn't want to order a drink because I wanted a Lapu Lapu and I didn't wanna lug a giant pineapple around. Eric tried to convince me I would drink the whole thing before it was even time for our reservation (which he would have been right), but I still didn't order a drink. He didn't order one either, I wanted him to get a Backscratcher, but I'm not sure why he didn't order a drink.

They were taking still taking walkups, if anyone was wondering. Anyways, at about 6:15 (our ADRs were for 6:30) many families had checked in and then been escorted to their table in 'Ohana; while we were still sitting there waiting (now I understand that perhaps they had ADRs at that time, so I'm not mad, I'm just commenting). Anyways, 6:30 rolls around, nothing. A little bit after, there is barely anyone sitting in the waiting areas besides Eric and I. More families check in and are seated immediately. So at 6:45 I go up and ask what is happening and when we would be seated (I was nice, not rude like on the Haunted Mansion) and he looked at the list and said we would be next. OK I think, can't be that long. But three more families come check in and are seated (again, immediately). Well finally we are brought to our table. We were sat up towards the windows with a view of the Magic Kingdom. I thought to myself, well maybe they saw our congrats buttons and wanted to give us a seat with a view.
DSCN0672.jpg

DSCN0677.jpg

DSCN0678.jpg

Anyways, our waiter comes and we order our drinks, a Lapu Lapu for me and a Backscratcher for Eric. He brings them to us.
DSCN0673.jpg

The Lapu Lapu was good, nice and sweet. And I loved how it was served in a pineapple (Eric ended up trying to scrape some of the pineapple off from the inside of it). The Backscratcher, well I really had high hopes for this, but it was just YUCKY! I'm sorry to all you Backscratcher lovers out there. It was weird for us. I don't know what it was about it, but it just tasted like drinking straight up alcohol. And, I mean don't take this the wrong way, but Eric and I are shooters (we drink shot for shot), but I dunno this just wasn't our thing.

Anyways on to the food!
DSCN0674.jpg

DSCN0675.jpg

DSCN0676.jpg

The salad was yummy! It was really good, we actually ate a lot of it. I'm not quite sure how to feel about the won ton crisp thingies. Alone they kind of weirded me out, but tasted pretty decent in the dipping sauces. I was surprised I actually liked the peanut sauce (I love peanuts and what not, but I had like thai food or something where they cook with peanuts and it made me sick), the red sauce was pretty good also. The other sauce was just plain, didn't have much flavor to me.
DSCN0679.jpg

DSCN0680.jpg

DSCN0681.jpg

Yeah I started to forget to take pictures of food before we started eating! I'm sorry! Anyways, I didn't like the shrimp! I'm not much of a seafood, fish, etc type of person. The wings were like Christmas. Seriously though, when I ate them all sort of Christmas memories flooded my brain. They were amasing! Probably my favorite food of the whole trip. The veggies were just veggies nothing special. The potatoes were also amasing. Man oh man!
DSCN0682.jpg

The turkey didn't have much flavor, but I loved the pork (and I truely am not a pork person) and the sausage. The steak was also good.
DSCN0684.jpg

I wasn't a big fan of the bread pudding itself, but I loved the ice cream and the bananas foster sauce. They were good all together. I ate most of the dessert myself, because Eric was feeling sick. It was a cross between the cold of the restaurant and the Backscratcher. Total cost of the meal $64.72 and drinks were $28 (including a tip).
DSCN0686.jpg

I decided we'd take the boat back the the Magic Kingdom so I could show Eric the volcano pool which looked really cool in pictures. He liked it.
DSCN0687.jpg

Just as we got to the dock it started to sprinkle. No biggy, ya know just sprinkling. So we wait for our boat to come to take us back to the Magic Kingdom.
DSCN0688.jpg

We arrive back at the Magic Kingdom and it's pouring. I talked Eric into wearing his poncho to help prevent him from getting extremely wet, which would lead to him getting very cold when we were on a ride or in a shop. We ran over and got out Extra Magic Hour bracelets. We get underneath the train station and wait until SpectroMagic was over. Many people left after it was over. I asked Eric if there was anything he want to ride again since we had road all the rides I wanted to and there was plenty of time left in the day. He said no. I said I wanted to ride the Haunted Mansion again so we headed off that way. We walked through the Emporium since it's very long and we could stay a little more dry in their. There were a lot of people in there, but it wasn't packed. You could walk around easily.

We went on the Haunted Mansion then I asked him if he wanted to ride anything again. No, he says. So I decided we'd try to find a drier spot to watch Wishes. By this time it was only sprinkling again.
DSCN0693.jpg

DSCN0694.jpg

When we got to Tomorrowland, I started to feel funny, either sick or tired, or dehydrated. I had to buy a water so I went to Cosmic Rays and got me a bottle. I can't remember exactly how much it was since I used a snack credit for it and I was more into guzzling the thing, but I think it was about $2.50. After getting to Tomorrowland, I decided that it wasn't the best place to watch Wishes and we should head towards the front entrance and go up to the train station and watch from there, or watch from under the train station. Well Wishes started just as we were crossing the bridge from Tomorrowland to Main Street. I found a nice spot on Main Street where there wasn't that many people and we stood there. It was barely raining anymore. I took out my camera and took a couple pictures to see how the fireworks option worked.
DSCN0695.jpg

DSCN0696.jpg

Eric kept complaining about how his legs were tired and he didn't feel good and wanted to go back to the hotel. I said after Wishes (thank god I did or we would have not watched any fireworks). Anyways, after it was over we headed out.
DSCN0699.jpg

Total Expenses for the Day on Food and Drink:
Disney Dining Plan: $0
Out of Pocket: $48

Total Money Saved So Far: $163.27

We woke about the same time today as yesterday. Did the same as before. I told Eric to just get his bagel at our hotel.
DSCN0700.jpg

DSCN0701.jpg

DSCN0702.jpg

He got a bagel with everything and a chocolate milk. Total came to $4.56. While Eric was putting the cream cheese on his bagel I went to the front desk to make it so we had express check out.
DSCN0703.jpg

DSCN0704.jpg

DSCN0705.jpg

DSCN0707.jpg

It didn't take me long, Eric was still putting the cream cheese on when I got back.

We headed to the Disney Studios. Again we were there just shortly after opening.

the report and the photos with them are totally awesome.......thanks so much for taking the time to do this......I am now getting REALLY excited to go to Disney again.....

When we walked out of Rock'n'Roller Coaster there was a photopass photographer right there and asked if we wanted our picture taken. Ehh what the heck. She also took my camera and took pictures with it too.
DSCN0724.jpg

DSCN0725.jpg

I told Eric that if we were to ride Tower of Terror it would have to be at the end of the day and the ride right before we left for the hotel. It makes me sick, and I'd rather be sick on the way back to the hotel than at the park.

DSCN0726.jpg

DSCN0727.jpg

We decided to go on the Great Movie Ride next.
DSCN0728.jpg

DSCN0729.jpg

DSCN0730.jpg

DSCN0731.jpg

DSCN0733.jpg

We actually go there just as they were loading the vehicles, it was perfect timing.

Of course out by the giant Sorcerer Mickey hat there is always characters, we decided to stop by.
DSCN0734.jpg

DSCN0735.jpg

DSCN0736.jpg

It was too early for any of the shows, so we headed back towards the back left of the park.

DSCN0739.jpg

Then on to Star Tours.
DSCN0740.jpg

DSCN0741.jpg

DSCN0742.jpg

Eric didn't like it. I'm not sure why, but he didn't.

We watched Muppet Vision 3D. I totally forget about the key under the mat, I was gonna show Eric, but I forgot. Anyways we looked at all the stuff in the waiting room. Kinda neat, and weird stuff around.
DSCN0745.jpg

DSCN0746.jpg

Anyways, it was around the time that Lights, Motors, Action was going to start so we started to walk that way.

DSCN0743.jpg

DSCN0744.jpg

We happened to see Lightning McQueen and my all time favorite MATER! I was excited!
DSCN0747.jpg

DSCN0748.jpg

BTW, Cars is probably the best movie ever! ;)

Anyways, on to Lights, Motors, Action!

OK! I don't know how long this will take.. but

So we got to Lights, Motors, Action 5 min before the show started. And OMG do not ever do that. It's a long walk from the entrance to the stands. Anyways on to the pictures.
