Don't Leave Pirates Stranger Tides early!!!!

No spoilers but after the credits there is a cute bonus scene so stay till after all the credits are done Just came back from seeing POTC Stranger Tides. The kids were fooling around during the credits running around the theatre making shadows on the screen etc.. after the end of the credits the movie came back on with a bonus scene that was cute and leads you to believe there will be another POTC movie. AVAST ME HEARTEES!!!!!

Seems most people know to stay now.

When I saw it the first time I think only 2 or 3 groups left.
Today, I told DH I would tell him what it was since it was a long wait and a short scene.

Now....for Thor, he needs to see it himself, that one had a lot of info.

And both movies were great!! I was holding my breathe for Pirates as 2 and 3 didn't do much for me, but this was was more like 1.....which I saw at the theater 5 times

I didn't catch the extra scene but I have no doubt there will be a Pirates 5 unless Johnny Depp walks in front of a truck. 4 has already made a boatload of money

You can Google the "extra" if you missed it. I'm so used to staying after the credits because so many movies do that nowadays. I just hate watching all the credits.

The theater where I saw Pirates 4 had a guy come in and tell us all we should stay for a bonus scene.

I wasn't very impressed with the final scene. Maybe if they had played it after the "movie-style" credits I would have thought more of it, but it was at the very end of the film strip after all the very lengthy credits. My DH and I both thought "We waited for that?"

So don't be too sad if you left early.

Thats how I felt- we sat and waited through all those credits and the big bonus scene was like 10 seconds---what a waste of time sitting there for that!

We are credits-watchers anyway (those people worked HARD on the movie and deserve to have people watch their names going by, plus when you have Hans Zimmer's music to listen to it's not painful) but I don't know how people do NOT know to stay for the actual end of Pirates movies! All of them have had something at the end.

i'm with those who were disappointed with the bonus scene. we know to always wait until after the credits with Pirates movies. but this one was not very long and not all that great.

I watched it for the second time today (I highly recommend seeing it twice, there's a lot that didn't click until the 2nd time!)

I waited til the end on opening night, probably half of the theater stayed.

Today, in a full theater, only 3 couples stayed. Guess nobody here knew I wasn't disappointed, there's nowhere I was in a hurry to be (other than fighting traffic?) and I thought it was definitely the icing on the cake! Loved the movie.

Lots of films have extra scenes. We sit through most credits and we're often rewarded. I like to see the names of the costumers, casting people, musicians. Fast Five had a fun xtra scene. I often want to say, 'hey, where you all going, the film isn't over!?"

Ditto. DH just looked at me and rolled his eyes since I made him stay. Totally not worth the wait.

Yes, it is definitely a GREAT little clip...

But, I too, thought... could they not have just ended the movie with that, instead of sitting thru 20 min. of credits to see the one 15 second clip.

I swore to DBF that there was going to be an extra scene and he didn't believe me all the way up until the very end. Then I felt kind of silly because it was so short. I also had the "We waited for THAT?" feeling.

On the bright side, we kept ourselves entertained by calling out some of the weirder sounding jobs. I can't think of anything at the moment but there were a few.

Usually when the credits role we'll google the film to see if there is any end credit scenes.

I thought this POTC one was a waste of time.

These days I'm always suprised when people don't stay, especially at Pirates or Marvel movies, since they all have scenes after the credits. Sometimes they are important to the plot, too!

Hopefully you were the only ones left in the theater at the time. I so hate it when people let their kids do that. I actually really enjoy reading the credits and I consider them part if what I'm paying to see when I go to a theater.
