Don't Laugh -- BCV or BWV avail. early Oct?

DVC friends want to finagle the second week of October in a one bedroom or studio at BCV or BWV...only (although I think they might take VWL).

Can anyone give me an idea how well the waitlist would work for them in this timeframe? I know my opinion but looking for others.

From what I've read here, there is probably a significant waitlist for both of those resorts for that time period. So I'm not sure their odds are good.

I haven't heard much about other DVC resorts during that time. VWL is a small resort, but it is not particularly convenient to the F&W Festival so I don't know how that one might work.

All you can do is call MS and see.

Don't forget about Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party going on in Sept and Oct.

I think any of these three resorts in Oct would be a very long shot.

I tried this morning for a studio, any resort 2nd week of October. I was told only SSR was available and I took it.
I would have loved BCV (home) or OKW but we toured SSR in February and it was beautiful as well. Slim pickings at this point but good luck!!

I called just last week for a reservation to BWV's at the end of Sept. and there was a studio open at SSR. I was told that would be the only studio. Because it is our "first trip HOME" I decided to stay in a 1BR at BWV's. You may think about calling for the SSR (seems like the only "in" for studios) soon so they can get a studio.
