I've never gone to WDW with a baby, DD was 1 before we went with her, so I'm not sure what to do!
We stayed at a great 2 bedroom place off property last year, for a great price, but with the baby, I definately want to get back to WDW property, especially for the bus service, in case I need to go back to the room with the baby, Dh can stay with older DD in the parks.
I was thinking I would like a 1 bedroom at SSR, for the space and room ammenities. We could get that for 250 per night, BUT hurricane Frances took a small toll on us financially, so I'm not sure that we should be spending that much on a room.
Other options are POFQ, which we love to stay at, but I'm concerned about size and noise (within the room) which would only be $79 per night.
We could get Poly for $209, which would be a little more room, queen beds, and monorail access.
Contemporary has garden rooms available, for $164 (I think, or it's 149, I was writing numbers down while holding the baby and I didn't label well LOL)
Any input? First DD is almost 7 now and baby DD will be 5 months when we go. We've never traveled with four let alone an infant.

Not only do you want to be on property with a baby, but also someplace where you can go back to the room without folding up the stroller. Of your choices, I would say Poly or Contemporary--you also can walk back from MK at the contemporary. You might also want to look at the Epcot area resorts. You can walk/boat to both MGM and Epcot. We have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin with little ones and they have good discounts. You also might be able to rent points for a Boardwalk studio pretty reasonably. If you plan far enough in advance, Beach Club Villas also might be available.

May I suggest a garden wing room at the CR?

You can get a good Florida resident rate and be on the monorail plus the rooms are LARGE! Nice size bathrooms.

JMHO!

May I suggest a garden wing room at the CR?

Are they larger than the tower rooms? Or just larger in general because it's a deluxe?

I'd go with CR too - With a 7 year old, you'd probably be spending the most time in MK & then you'd be nice & close for the baby's naps etc....

I vote for either Cont or Poly. both would be nice. you could walk to cont from mk and the poly is just a short boat ride or monorail. The standard rooms in wing at Cont would be the cheapest, but the size of the rooms are just as large. I would imagine that they would be quieter than the tower rooms also.
good luck and have fun

I agree with BambiTamby (!), I would chose the garden wing at the Contemporary. The rooms are very large, you can walk to the MK and you can monorail to Epcot.

If you want to save $$, a moderate (at half the price) would also be OK. You'll have plenty of room for a crib in one of the corners. FWIW, I find the deluxes with central hallways noisier than the moderates with exterior hallways.

Edited to add:
Of all the moderates, I think POFQ is the best :). Especially with a baby. The resort is small and no room is far from the pool, food court or bus stop. Although the resort shares a bus with PO-R, at POFQ you are the first to catch the bus, thereby getting a seat and the first to get off when you return. Your 7 year old will love the pool and the dragon slide and there is a kiddie pool for the baby.
