ok firstly i apologise for so many ??'s. Ihave booked to take my kids to disney florida in may 2011, my youngest dd will turn 7 while there:banana:
Have booked the ddp, and staying at port orleans french quater, now need help to make it a fab trip, have been to euro disney before, so can't wait, also not telling the kids until 1 week before we go.
Where would be the best places to eat, want some shows, see the fireworks etc and breakfast/dinner somewhere special for her birthday.

I would suggest the character meals, there are many to choose from. They are buffets so no waiting and trying to entertain children while meal is prepared and the interactions with the characters are usually great. You can pick one that has her favorite characters for her birthday perhaps? Rainforest Cafe (Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom) is fun for kids, T-Rex in Downtown Disney (may be a bit scary for very young kids). As far as shows, I'm not sure if you mean dinner shows or just shows in the parks? If dinner shows, I haven't found them to be too entertaining for very young kids, but if you want to try one I would try Spirt of Aloha at the Poly... HDDR's humor would be over their heads (I also didn't think it was that entertaining, but I know many others love it.)

With very small children and 1 adult, I would honestly stick to counter services where you can get in and out quickly. I know my kids do not care much about eating anyway, they would much rather be doing rides, parades, or shows. As far as making it special for your dd's birthday, make sure you tell the CMs you're celebrating and they'll add many nice touches to make it special for her. Lots of luck!

Wejust got back two days ago with DD almost 8 and DS6. We ate at the following places with no problem from either of them and my DS can be very restless. I did pick primarily buffets because my DS is a big and varied eater and DD is picky (I think she lived on bread and fruit).

We went to Donald's Breakfast Safari at AK, dinner at Boma at AKL, Crystal Palace at MK for lunch with Pooh and friends, Akershus at EPCOT for lunch with the Princesses, Biergarten at EPCOT for dinner (oompa band!) and a last minute (less than 24 hours before hand) ADR ot The Wave at the Contemporary. It didn't appear to be kid friendly, but actually was (menus with puzzles and coloring) and the kids enjoyed it.

I would recommend Garden Grill in EPCOT for dinner. It is served family style with unlimited portions & Mickey, Pluto, & Chip 'N Dale, visiting each table. There are childrens items as well, like mac & cheese, that they will also bring or can be requested. You can see the current menu here: http://allears.net/menu/menu_gg.htm

For breakfast I would recommend 'Ohana (at the Polynesian) The Lilo and Stitch Best Friends Character Breakfast, where is also served family style. Menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_ohb.htm

I think either of the two would be great (we LOVED Garden Grill!) & so much easier than most character meals since they are not buffets. Not always so easy for one parent with three little ones ;)

My favorite counter service choice, yummy & lots of items to choose from, is in Downtown Disney- Wolfgang Puck Express. It is considered counter service (but taste much better than other CS!!) & they bring the meal to you after ordering! Here is the menu: http://allears.net/menu/menu_wpew.htm
