Don't know to do short sleeve, long sleeve or sweat shirts

Hello everyone.

We are going on our first trip to WD in December. I am real excited on making our shirts for the trip; however, by reading the boards, it seems you will never know what the weather will be like. It seems it can be hot, warm, cool or down right freezing.

My dilema is: what do I put the iron transfers on. I want to make sure we will be able to wear the designs at WD. So I don't know if I should just put them on short sleeve and if it gets cool, we can always weat the short sleeve over long sleeve shirts. Or just put them on long sleeve shirts and hope it does not get too hot. Hopefully I am not overthinking this.

If you are going or has been in December, what kind of shirts do you make or have made?

Thanks for any and all help :-)

My family went during the 1st week of Dec. and I ended up in a tank top during the day and sweaters at night. The short sleeve with long sleeve underneath if needed would be my recommendation. Good luck.

We went Xmas week in 2007.

I had several holiday DISigns created from the wonderful designers here on this forum. I didn't know which shirts to use. I ended up doing both short & long-sleeved shirts. For the long-sleeved, I used red t-shirts. The Disney holiday transfers look great on them!

We wore the long-sleeved ones more. There are plenty of pics in my scrapbook of us wearing them in AK one day. We did wear the short-sleeved ones, but had our jackets (Disney, matching fleece jackets of course!) over them much of the time.

When we went in December, it was warm enough in the day, we'd have never survived in long sleeve shirts all day.

Another factor for me was that we wear very few long sleeve shirts at home, and I didn't really want shirts that were only for that trip.

So we went with short sleeve shirts and bought long sleeve tshirt type shirts to wear underneath them. It worked perfectly. We could adjust to what we needed individually and still have on our matching shirts.
