Hey guys!! Just got back from SSR, loved it...the place is gorgeous. While we were there I checked out the models of AKV and BLT. OMG BLT is AMAZING IN PERSON!!! The pictures you have seen online seriously do the place no justice. As soon as I walked in I wanted to buy more points lol.

The studio kitchenette is super nice and big...the shower is cool and the rooms really are gorgeous. Trust me I thought the rooms were cheesy looking but not anymore!!!

Here is a one bedroom..the rooms are very spacious.

ITA! :thumbsup2

My pics don't even give the place justice!

I agree, photos often don't do the villas justice.

Thanks for posting those. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the models in person in Nov! Thanks for your pictures.

I can't wait to see them in Nov, too!! I think they're so different and will be a great place to call home!

Thanks for posting those pictures.

We took a ride over to SSR last week to see the BLT models as well. We had seen the pictures online but weren't overly impressed. That changed once we walked into the model.

The only thing we didn't like about the studio was the bathroom sink being in the separate kitchen area. The one bedroom was humongous and awesome. We have decided that if we stay there, we will definitely do the one bedroom.

We're hoping that they get BLT models put in at the Disney's Doorway to Dream store at Woodfield in Schaumburg (Chicago suburb) soon.

For the amount of points it's going to take to stay there, it better be nice.

We checked them out too. The place is beautiful, it may be too beautiful for me and my family. LOL!!!

I kept an open mind until I saw them last week, and I gave them a chance, but they still don't attract me at all! I do like the pale blue and lime green in the bedroom though, and the picture over the bed is super cute!

Last week was my first time going "home" and we stayed at SSR because we were using developed points, and we fell in love with SSR. I bought into AKL and I thought I would hate AKL but was actually impressed with the model room and the grounds of the resort. I think SSR was my favorite though.

Well other than Boardwalk... we went there to walk around and see stuff for our WDW vow renewal we are planning, we loved how close we were to Epcot though. We walked up that hill and were trying to figure out where it went and then we saw security and the back end of the showcase.

I actually told the guides that were there the day we went to see the models(first day they were open to DVC members) that I had come prepared not to like them based on the pictures online and in the brochure I had gotten at the Welcome Home Wednesday meeting, but that I actually loved them. I may even have to buy some points there even though I had previously been - no way - not for me.

We went and saw the models back in late September. DW and myself thought they were very nice, however just not our cup of tea so to speak.

I ain't gonna disagree with you. I really like the sleek, clean lines and there is much more warmth than I remember from the very first pictures I saw. BUT, in your very first pic in this thread, that thing over the bed is absolutely brutal. Here you have this dark wood and earth tones and stainless and a complimentary blue (blue-ish green) mixed-in...but then they put this big neon "Kick me" sign over the bed. Ugh! I certainly understand the concept of throwing-in splashes of color to help offset the dark colors and "pop" in the room for visual interest, but the picture over the bed in one of your subsequent photos was a much smarter move. IEHO.

I have to agree...I'm not impressed by the rooms still. But hey if you like them...thats your pref...I wouldn't buy it...:confused3
