Don't have permission to change avatar?

I've been trying to put a pic up for my avatar, but I'm told that I don't have authorization to do so. Why would this be?

I'm having the same issue.. I do have a DSLR camera, so the files are large, but how do I shrink them down?? I just want to add my pic again lol!

Thanks Mary Jo! I think that might be the issue. I've tried to size down the picture as much as I can, but I just can't make it work. I'll send the pic your way in a few minutes.

I'm sorry to bring this thread back up, but when I click on my avatar to change it, it tells me the same thing- that I am not authorized. When I try to drag a picture that does not work either. I don't see an area to pick from DISboards pics either.

There are no more stock avatars (like on the old boards). You must find your own picture. The size of which must be less than 1MB.
