Don't give up! Just scored 'Ohana for dinner in August

I have checked everyday, several times a day, for 'Ohana dinner in August since we booked out trip the end of April. There are four of us. Well, this morning, lo and behold, I checked once again and there it was: August 15, 4 people, dinner at 6:00!!! The perfect time, too. It pays to keep at it....I think the closer you get to your dates, more cancellations will open up as people finalize their plans. Good luck!

EDIT: AND, today, I just woke up, tried Le Cellier Dinner for the date I wanted in August and I got it at 7:15!!! I've been trying for MONTHS to get this night at this time, you NEVER know. I'm so excited, especially after being able to book the Wishes Dessert Party last night, too.

So WDW4us2006, I have to ask, are checking online or are you calling them? Inquiring minds want to know.

It seems everytime I try to book the California Grill for 7pm, they only have 5:45 or 9pm available. For my past most recent trip to Disney, my DH and I would go early to watch the fireworks display on the balcony and then have dinner at 9. If i don't get to make these ressie, I don't mind. I hoping to get a ressi for the new Via Napoli that should be opening sometime next month.

Thanks so much.....you give me hope! hee hee I have been trying to get a ressie on either Sept 3rd or 4th for 6 at Ohana for weeks! No luck yet, but I will keep trying now.....
Our #6 is our 2 year old. Do you think I should put party of 5 in as well?

Another testament to NOT giving up!!! After trying for weeks, I got O'Hana today for a Saturday dinner reservation. I also got a Le Cellier lunch reservation online after trying persistantly a while back, and was able to change that again to an even better time after coordinating with someone on the cancellation thread.

Yesterday, I was able to get LeCellier for lunch on our arrival day in early Sept. wanted dinner, but I was willing to take whatever I could get.

I just kept checking on line and was totally surprised.

i was coming to post how shocked i was to have my pick of two different times for party of two@ LeCellier on Tuesday 7/27, either 11 or 2 ish when i logged in just now.

Ive been trying to book LeCellier for a week for last minute get-away end of month w/o success both online & via phone

fyi, same as last year's trip planned 3 weeks out, was able to find availability and many of our favs if willing to eat late lunch or late dinner

Kona, late dinner
CPalace, both lunch & dinner
50's, both lunch & dinner
Plaza & Coral Reef came up in a search too for mid week days

apparently, people are cancelling ADRs they won't be using

Another testament to keeping at it!! Just booked Le Cellier for dinner at 7:15 on August 15, the exact date and time I wanted....can't believe it, keep trying.

I got it I got my Chef Mickey's I tried this morning...party of 3 any breakfast ressie on Monday, August 16...it came through for 735...a bit too early...but I took it...I did cancel our 1900 PF ressies for 920 so I hope someone gets that one and it makes their day

I did come across many cancellations i would say about 1-2 weeks prior to our check in date last year (also a bunch of slots for places became available a week before. I tried for months to change my CM and got lucky a week before our trip. I would try all day more times than i would like to admit because you never know when there will be a cancellation.

The only openings I have found for us in August at 'Ohana are after 9:00 PM - no thanks. I will keep searching.
