When I first started looking at airfare for my February WDW trip Southwest prices were at $178 each way (from LAX). A few days later they were down to $140, so I bought.

I've been obsessively checking everyday since then because I know SW sometimes lowers their fares. Well Thursday comes around... and they're down to $119! I changed our tickets to the lower fare and now have a credit of $84 for the two of us. :dance3:

I checked again today and the tickets are back up to $140! They were only at $119 for two days, and were not part of the Ding or any other offers going on. Moral of the story... check your SW airfare often!! :goodvibes

Lucky!

I've been checking my SW and Alaska fares every day since I booked (months ago), because both give the credit... But we're traveling too close to Thanksgiving and too close to xmas, and it seems we've also booked THE most popular flight times...so it's done nothing much but go up or stay the same...hope is still alive, however! That said, we got a good rate, so I won't be heartbroken if they don't go down, but it would be a lovely bonus. Would help get us to DisneyLAND sooner rather than later after this upcoming epic WDW trip. :)

Isn't it great getting a credit? :cool1: When I booked our November flight a few months ago, I paid $131. I, too, checked everyday hoping the flights would drop. Finally, a few weeks ago, they did drop to $95. I quickly changed to the lower fare, giving me a $144 credit. I then used that credit to purchase our return flight. I was able to snag $89 tickets, but it sure was nice to have the credit applied to the final price. :thumbsup2
