Don't forget the parking Upgrading AP

So I was so lucky to get a one of the Costco Deluxe AP's for Christmas! Yippee!! But in the past I have always had a Premium and I have to say between the parking and the discounts it just seemed like I really wanted one again.

Well, when I headed over to redeem my Deluxe pass yesterday, I was debating waiting on upgrading, but then I did the math. It is $120 difference between the two passes But I had the $50 gift card and then realised that since I had to pay $12 to park that day, if I upgraded then I would get the $12 I would have to spent either way applied to the AP instead of letting Disney just get to keep that money for a parking spot.

So in the end between the GC and Parking I realised it would only be $58 to upgrade that day, so I did!

So if you are going to up grade to premium make sure you get that days parking applied to your pass!!! This also works if you decide to add parking to your other level passes!! Dont loss that $12!

I was just asking about this. Because we got these for Christmas too and we added the $59 parking to my pass instead of upgrading. BUT we since discussed upgrading to Premiums I wanted to see if I would get credit for the added parking....I was excited to hear that yes, I should get credit for that so I'm pretty sure we might go ahead with the upgrade!

Yeah it really does! Besides I like being able to go any day I want and never have to look at a calendar to see if I am "allowed" to go.

Well we all do but that extra $120 does make a difference, especially when you're buying 4 passes. lol BUT I'm pretty sure at this point I could upgrade mine for free, with the parking credit and my $50 gift card I'm almost there.....it's soooooo tempting, especially because we have friends going over Vday weekend and they want us to go with but we are blacked out.
