I have a Magicard that I got several years ago when we were forced to stay offsite. It saved me some $$ then on a Holiday Inn outside the maingate to WDW. Well, we are going down to Universal in three weeks and staying at Portofino Bay :cheer2: , travelling with our SHih Tzu so I need a pet friendly place. I found the Comfort Suites on Turkey Lake with a price of something like $89 or $99. Not bad, but when I remembered to check through the hotel direct and asked about the MAgicard rate it was $55! That's a lot better for the one night, even with the pet fee that they tack on. So, check out their website: www.orlandoinfo.com/magicard before booking through the net sites. This price is like $20 less than Orbitz, Hotels.com and Travelocity offered :goodvibes

That was me, we always used passholder discounts or something like that. If my head had been on straight in April I would have dragged the thing out instead of paying the Doubletree Castle $150 for a place to crash the night we arrived. They have a variety of properties listed with the magiccard, in a variety of price ranges as well.

Also regarding the magicard, I just used it to book a car rental over Christmas. For months, I have been playing with tons of codes from mousesavers and the thrifty magicard code was the least expensive rate I could find. The hotel savings look great!!!

That gets me out of my delima. I had picked out the "Palms by Lexington" hotel for our 2 nights off-site -- then the rate shot up.

I had considered the Comfort Inn LBV -- and with the magic card rate, it will be less than what I was going to pay for the Palms. YAY!

Thanks alot!

Thanks for this. I had received an email about this carde but hadn't given it much thought.
Guess I will now :thumbsup2

What made me happy was that they have a card that you can download from home. The one they sent me years ago is somewhere in the mess I call a desk ( I have kids that raid it frequently) and I was afraid that a new one wouldn't arrive in time for our trip in LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! Yippee!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That's great...must dig ours out and see if it helps with car rental too!

Thanks!!
