Where are you staying? I went many years ago, and stayed in the Sydney area. I loved Paddington Market, touring the Opera House (of course!), camping in the Blue Mountains, riding around on the train (a new experience for a Northwesterner!), visiting an elementary school and a high school and talking with the kids, the Mt. Colah animal reserve, and many other fun activities.

This is their winter, of course. Around Sydney it was like Spring in the NW, or what I call "sweater weather", sunny usually but a bit chilly.

I hope you see many wonderful things, and make fabulous memories!

Yup, I know it will be winter ! Actually my DH is in NZ right now and they are having tremendous storms.
My DH has been there 5-6 times. This is my DD and my second trip. We went for 3 weeks in 99 and spent time in Sydney (torongo zoo, blue mountains,aqaurium, harbor cruise etc) a week split between Cairns and Port Douglas(reef, rainforest, Kuranda)and a week in Brisbane(stayed with family and visited schools, gardens, Bribie island, Dreamworld).
This trip we are doing Sydney/Cairns/Brisbane/Melbourne. It is partly a work trip for DH.
