Yes, definitely! I was bummed about not getting Ohana's (all the ADR's were well after 9 pm, too late for little critters), but I kept checking back, and we found an ADR for exactly when we wanted it!
I have a 4:10 ADR at Yak and Yeti - and I'm looking for something later (at a different place) 4:10 is way too early for us to eat dinner - when we usually end up eating lunch around 1!!
I agree - never give up. Even if you are already there. Our last trip my DH decided to just pay for breakfast at Kona Cafe so that left us with a TS. WE called and tried to get Le Cellier but there was nothing. Called at the park when we got there - nothing. Walked over and they took us in about 15-20 minutes. Go figure. Might be different now that they are signature, but still. Never hurts to walk up and ask. This was last year during free dining in the last week of August right before Labor Day.
And a few years ago I met up with my sister and her family and they had dining ressies at Liberty Tavern for 4. We walked up and said we were now 9 and they seated us with no problem. That's Disney for ya. We are going to the Outter Banks this year but DH has already said next year we are going back to Disney even if the kids don't want to go.
Thanks for your encouragement! We are going in Late September and haven't been able to get anything we want. I've been getting up early, staying up late - nothing. I hope I get some luck my way!
A month ago we had to move our trip up 30 days, right into the middle of free dining and were really disappointed that so little was available, let alone our typical "must do's". Just within the last 7 days I have been able to get Tusker House, Crystal Palace and Ohana breakfasts, and a Le Cellier dinner all for great times. Persistance pays off!!!
