DON'T CRY OR WE'LL RIDE DINOSAUR AGAIN! A Spring Break TR---Final Thoughts 5/5

Great update! I'm glad the band did well. Kinda funny that Disney has so many rules about the band stuff.:confused3

The backstage stuff is neat...didn't ruin the magic for me...at least not the little bit I saw. We got stuck on IASW (seriously, can you imagine??:scared1:) and had to go out through the backstage. It was certainly not "pretty" but my DH and I found the inner workings and such fascinating. I would love to see the utiladors.

Love the hat picture! Too cute!!:goodvibes

That Bo! Such a ladies man!

I'm glad the band did well, sounds like a neat experience :thumbsup2

Ya'll were pushing it for time . I'm glad the concert went well and they got an excellent rating:thumbsup2. I can't wait to hear about how bedtime went :surfweb:.

Thanks, Dana. :)

Oh, bedtime..................well, it went the same way, nearly every night! :sad2:

Special.....criminal......there's a difference?:rotfl:

Oh, Stacy, that would be terrible to get stuck on that ride. :scared1:

We got stuck on Splash Mtn. one time and had to sit in our boat for about 40 minutes. But they never got us out to walk through. I've heard of people who got stuck on Space Mtn., and they had to turn on the lights, and take people off the track. Now that would be crazy!

I'm glad the band did well, sounds like a neat experience :thumbsup2

Thanks, Michelle. I'm glad the girls got to experience Disney in that way! :thumbsup2

I had a feelin' it was the young 'un makin' all the fuss at bedtime!

It can be so hard for them to handle changes in routine, not to mention a strange bed, strange room, and the fatigue of travel! Poor thing...

And poor you! Were you thinking ear plugs by Day Three??

So glad the band did well! :thumbsup2 What a great experience!

Kathy

Thanks, Dana. :)

Did ya'll run out of allergy meds?...........:lmao:. I do say that jokingly, there was a case here several years ago where a daycare worker was doing that to a baby and the baby died. I do always have some with me though because of Dallas' peanut allergy.

Great update. Cayley now wants all the princess pens-thanks :) Cayley did not have trouble going to sleep on our last trip as long as she was with me. And she is one that was to be rightnexttoyou. This time she and Avery get the pull out couch.

Kathy

Uhmmmm, since my sister will probably read this,...NO, Kathy, I never wished for ear plugs.

Did ya'll run out of allergy meds?...........:lmao:

:rotfl: Well, I hope you seriously know that we never gave her any allergy meds just to make her go to sleep, even though we joked about it A LOT !!

So, Dallas is allergic to peanuts? It seems like I hear of more and more kids with that allergy now-a- days. When we were kids, everyone ate PB & J sandwiches. I wonder what's changed to where so many kids are allergic to peanuts, now? I know that can be scary. I know one parent who told me her daughter can't even handle eating food that's been near crushed peanuts, because some of the peanut "dust" could get in the other food.

Great update and LOVE all the different pens in the photo.

Thanks, Kathy! :thumbsup2

Cayley now wants all the princess pens-thanks :).

You're welcome. I aim to please. :thumbsup2 Would you like me to post all my pictures of my Vera Bradley collection?

Well, Sunday began as a gray, overcast day. As we were waiting for the big girls to get their primping finished, my sister and I checked out the weather forecast for that day on the television. There was a very small chance of a rain shower. We decided to chance it and didn’t carry our ponchos.

We caught a bus to Animal Kingdom and arrived shortly after 9 a.m.

We decided to not go with the policy of grabbing fast passes for Everest first and then riding the Safari. Instead, we went right to the Safari. I think I went a little crazy with the picture taking. I have this new camera, and I put it on the auto-sports mode and it would snap three photos everytime I would take one.

This little guy ran right out of the bush in front of our safari jeep, to where the driver had to slam on the brakes. Then, he just stood in the grass and looked at us.

I love the part when the safari comes around that curve and you see this: :goodvibes

Around the curve, we saw a mother giraffe and her baby.

After coming off the Safari, we managed to catch sight of a gorilla.

We then decided to run to Everest to grab fast passes to use later. On our way out of Africa, we ran into this interesting, lovely creature.

Once, we had gotten our FPs for later, we walked over to DinoLand, and rode a few things. It was then that we decided to ride Dinosaur. I laughingly asked my sister if Meg would be ok on this ride. My sister replied that it would be ok.

We went through the 15 minute stand-by line and decided on the seating arrangement order. Reese was a little apprehensive about this ride, so he wanted to sit by his mom. So, it was decided to sit in the following order: Reese, Kelly, Meg, Me. Elizabeth and Rachel would sit on the next row of seats.

Well the ride began. I have to tell you that it is always more scary than I remember! So much of it is in the dark, and all we could hear was Meg screaming throughout it. I remember putting my hands up toward her face to try to hold her still from all that herky-jerky car stuff. I think I was really trying to keep her from getting so bounced around. The ride finished, and we asked Meg if she liked it. She said, “Yeah.” We asked, “Do you want to ride it again?” She said, “NO!”

We headed out to see out photo pass picture , and we just cracked up right there. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Up Next…...........the picture that inspired the title of this trip report!

Oh I can't wait to see that Photopass picture!

I really really want to see DiVine sometime.

Good job with the new camera and the Safari, great pictures. I am trying to wait patiently for the picture that inspired your title.

Your safari pix are wonderful!

And I'm jealous that you stumbled onto DiVine... I've yet to see her.

Hope you didn't wind up regretting the poncho decision! :umbrella:

Kathy

Awesome safari pictures! :worship: And it's always a good day when you spot DeVine! :thumbsup2

What a cliffhanger!! Can't wait to see the picture. ;)

What lovely pictures from the Safari! We love the giraffes and the elephants. I could watch them all day long.

After all this time, we have never caught a glimpse of Divine. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled next month.

Fantastic safari pictures!! I'll remember that setting for when I'm there.

Can't wait to see this picture!popcorn::

I don't have flamingophobia at all! (I just got a red squiggly line under that ) I love the flamingos!

I do have rhinophobia in a small way, though, because I am skeered of that horn! :scared1:

Great safari pictures. I could go on a safari every day and be quite happy.

:rotfl: Well, I hope you seriously know that we never gave her any allergy meds just to make her go to sleep, even though we joked about it A LOT !!

Oh I know you wouldn't do it, and there were times Dale and joked about it too.

Yes Dallas had a peanut allergy. We found out when he was about 2 or so. He was eating a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and all of a sudden his face was blood red and he started having some stridor, so I gave him some benadryl and took him to the doctor. She said a peanut allergy is common and it is also the one that people do NOT outgrow :sad2:. So my poor baby has never had a peanut butter cookie, or a pb & j sandwich, or peanut butter pie.....yummmmmmmmm. If he doesn't know, he will ask if the food he is eating has peanuts in it, and he has been asking that since he was about 3. So now I carry benadryl and an epi pen with me just in case :sad2:. While we were at Disney, last July 4th, we ate at the Plaza, and he had his own personal Chef. They really went out of their way to make sure he got what he wanted to eat and not have peanuts anywhere near his food.

Love the AK pictures :thumbsup2. I can't wait to get there and take some pictures with my new camera :goodvibes. Dinosaur is my favorite ride at AK :thumbsup2. Dallas isn't crazy about it, but he rides it if he has to. I don't do Everest at all, I told Dale there isn't enough money in the world to make me get on it .
