Don't be a Drag, Just be a Queen June 3-18 (MORE PICS ADDED 6/25!)

Pics from Epcot on 6/5. I am pretty sure I hadn't seen any of these before today. That's the drawback of taking pics on 4 different cameras!

Thanks!
The gorillas are my favorite. I can stand for hours and watch them. DH and DS don't seem to have my stamina for gorilla watching, but they did watch them for awhile. :rotfl:

The turndown chocolates look fantastic!

My father did a cost analysis of the DDP for us and we came to the same conclusion. DDP or DxDP is not for us; we prefer the TIW card as well.

You know, if we came pretty close to breaking even with DxDDP we would probably do it. But come on! It would cost us OVER $1000 MORE!! :scared1: I would rather not just flush $1000 down the Disney toilet. :sad2:

Even with the provision that DVCers can "segment" their stays to do DDP part of the days and not the others, I still couldn't manipulate the plan credits in a way that we would actually save money.

I can definitely say our pin trading days are over. 16 days and I didn't trade a single pin. And I didn't miss it. I didn't compulsively stop to look at every CM lanyard. It was great! :rotfl2: The baggie of pins we had in the Owner's Locker stayed in there the whole trip. The first couple of days I thought I might toss some in my bag in case I wanted to trade, but then I just never got around to it.

I bought 3 pins, and that was it. I stopped at those 3 and I am perfectly happy.

Pin trading was fun for awhile, but I am kind of glad to be done with it now!

Thanks for sharing all those great pictures, they totally brightened my day just now! :goodvibes

I haven't bought a pin in ages and I used to love them! We have lanyards full of them, and it used to be fun, but I think there are just so many other things to spend money on at Disney, it's not really worth it anymore to us.

Hi, joining in. I can't wait to get caught up as I only got through the first page so far. :goodvibes

I only buy the "year number" pin as a memento of each year. I was hoping to find a 2011 pin for each park this year, but only found Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Glad you enjoyed the pics! :goodvibes
All 3 of us have those big zippered bags full of pins, but we never DO anything with them. We don't sit and look at them or anything. Which makes me wonder why we have them. :rotfl2: It was fun for awhile, but once the counterfeit market really got out of hand it wasn't fun anymore. Who wants to worry about the authenticity of every pin? :sad2:

Welcome! :)

I think the pins we bought are dated. I meant to get an AKL pin, but the day I thought about it I decided to wait. Then I forgot. Oh, well!

That's why I only buy official pins, and only when I'm AT Disney. For me, it's a souvenir of a memory, not a "collectible."

That's what we do now. We just buy a few special pins to "remember" each trip by. There's no telling how many pins in our collections are fakes that we traded for. :headache:

If it wasn't so time consuming I would finish trading through the pins we have on hand. I said i was going to do that this year, but WOW, we gained SO MUCH TIME not messing with it! Maybe I will start tossing a handful of pins in my bag to share with little kids in the parks. Or maybe I will designate one day per trip as a pin trading day. I'll come up with something. :rolleyes1
