Don't be a Drag, Just be a Queen June 3-18 (MORE PICS ADDED 6/25!)

Sorry to hear about the unruly children at Cali Grill. I swear we were not there....my children were causing a ruckus in our own dining room ;)
We have always eaten there later in the evening....7ish and never had any issues with loudness. Some of our family have opted to eat there next trip but we decided not to for this very reason.....I don't think our kids are "Cali Grill" ready yet. But, I'll defintely miss the Sushi.......mmmmmm good!

great report so far. I agree about the parade for star wars. We skipped it as it was really crowded.

Looks like we were at Epcot the same time as you on the sunday.

looking forward to more.

Our ADR was 7:30. The screaming, rolling-on-the-floor kid must have come in around 8 PM.

Welcome, Scott! :)
We all kind of feel like yesterday was a wasted day for us. We won't make a special effort to do SWW next year.

Last night we did LAUNDRY! That's the drawback of not being in a larger villa. The front load washer took 45 minutes to wash, and even with the clothes split into multiple dryers it took almost and hour for them to dry. We didn't finish until close to 8 PM, so we just grabbed counter service at Mara for dinner and that was that.

DTD this morning, lunch at Wolfgang Puck's.

And let me guess.....they parent did not remove said child.

Well, it was complicated. :rotfl: They had a baby sleeping in a stroller, but they took him out and tried to cram him into a high chair. So he started to scream. The other one was ALREADY screaming. He was probably 4, but he was BIG, so maybe he was older. The mom TRIED to take the baby to change his diaper, but the older one LOCKED his arms around her and HOWLED (in the middle of the walkway) so she couldn't leave. The dad just sat there and observed. There was a lot of back and forth, but at no time did they REALLY attempt to get control of the older one, which is why he ended up rolling on the floor. Now, once they got food on the table they just kept shoving food in his mouth to keep him quiet. :sad2:

Hi Elizabeth - sorry about your Cali Grill experience. When we were at Citricos we had a little boy crawling on the floor. He did manage to crawl across the floor and bump into my table. I didnt say anything, but right after that the manager came over and asked the couple "How is your day". Hmm, is that Disney speak for control your little getting on others nerves kid?:). He looked about 4 too. I guess bringing something to occupy him didnt occur to them.

Loved your pics,. It looked crowded for sure. We were in the wheelchair section and Laurie got alot of pics. Dh was not impressed. He said something like "I do Star Wars at work", oh well. I guess when he deals with the reality stuff, the fictional stuff is boring to him.

At least you get free internet right? We had to pay the $10 for 24 hrs. and worse dh couldnt use it in the room because he has security stuff on his computer that he is not allowed to take off from his job so he had to go to the BC lobby and YC lobby and use the wireless.

Where are you eating tonight?

Hi!!! We are back! Your pics are seriously amazing! Wow! Those SW parade pics are just great!! We are in our best friend's wedding this weekend (big Indian wedding, so fun!) so I won't get a chance to start my reviews til Monday. Can't wait for updates from you ! Best wishes!

Allegra, glad you guys are home safely!! :goodvibes Have fun at the wedding!

Maryann, we do get free internet. :thumbsup2

Today we went to DTD and had lunch at Wolfgang Puck's. We did a little shopping, bought presents for my little charges. It took an HOUR to get there and 40 minutes to get back. We are finished with DTD for this trip!

We came back for a little break, then we decided we needed to come up with a plan for tonight. DS wanted to go play mini golf, which we have NEVER done before. We chose Fantasia Gardens. People always talk about Beaches & Cream but we had never been there, so we went there for dinner. We were prepared for a wait, but it was less than 5 minutes. Food was great, and DS LOVED the atmosphere. Mini golf was fun. :) We ended up taking a cab back and we got totally price gouged, but whatever. It was a Town Car from the Swan as opposed to a Mears cab from a Disney hotel, so I guess I am not surprised.

Great Star Wars photos!!!!!

That really stinks about California Grill. I always go early when you would think there would be more young children but I've never had that behavior. I guess in the early hours the kids are not STARVING and EXHAUSTED. In fact the only screamer I've had was when I was at the Flying Fish that night with you.;)

I haven't tried Beaches & Cream since 2001. We need to try to hit that this summer.

We've did Winterland/Sumerland once but I think we'll try Fantasia this summer since we'll be at BWI. We'll be there for 12 nights and but I'm only going to get the others 10 day tickets.

Enjoy the Sunrise Safari!!! Can't wait to see those photos. I hope photobucket is feeling more cooperative tomorrow!

Great pics from parade. My parade pics never look that good. Great job :thumbsup2

Looking forward to your pics from the Safari.

Bernadette, we really enjoyed Fantasia Gardens! It wasn't terribly crowded - we did have to wait about 10 minutes to tee off but we moved through pretty well after that. We have been saying we wanted to play but last year whenever we thought about going it was raining.

Interestingly we had a screamer at Beaches & Cream last night, too. She was throwing a fit at the podium because she didn't want to go IN! :rotfl2: She was older than 4, too!

There was also one at MK the other morning. I am pretty sure he screamed for at least an hour, because we kept passing him in the park and he was screaming every time we saw him.

Wow, those SW pics are awesome! I really need to take Nicholas for SWW sometime.

I'm glad you liked B&C. We usually stop in for a meal when we stay at either BWV or BCVs. We've also wanted to play mini golf, but never seem to fit it in. Someday.
