I forgot to ask - who is going on the fishing trip and where are you going from?

We did the one from the Polynesian once. It was cool seeing the castle while we were fishing and between the 3 ds and dh, I caught the most fish!!

Our guide was great and she took us over by the old Discovery Island.

What do you like at Flying Fish? Dh had some fish dish with beets. He said the beets were overwhelming. I got the salad with walnuts and the gorgonzola was overwhelming too. Way too strong of a taste. I dont think the scallops were done enough. Dh said his soup was good and we liked the bread. He had press pot coffee and liked it. The desserts were good too. I think we did 4 courses, no alcohol and the bill with a tiw discount for just the 2 of us was $170, Wowsa$$. I dont think its on our list for December.

Just the 3 of us. We did one a few years ago out of the Poly, this year we're going out of the Contemporary. Our guide last time was a girl named Carrie - she was great! DH really enjoys fishing so this is a treat for him. DS and I are not big fans of fishing, but it was fun last time. The not fun part will be getting a cab at 6:15 AM.

The menu at Flying Fish changes all the time - I don't think I have ever had the same thing twice. DH LOVES the steak. I have had all sorts of fish, scallops, etc. They have the BEST blood orange margaritas. I have never had anything there that I didn't care for. Hopefully it will be good this time!

Ack! It looks like I REALLY better clean house today. Blech.

I will check us in for the flight at midnight on Wednesday. HOPEFULLY they will let me do all 3 upgrades in one call even though DH is the only one upgrading on reward points. Hopefully there will be 3 seats open for upgrades.

DS's toe is looking MUCH better with the antibiotics.

My eye looks ridiculous. Get ready to see lots of pics of my new sunglasses. And my old sunglasses. Get ready to see pics of me wearing sunglasses inside and at night.

My friend suggested I change the name of my trip report to "Limpin' & Squintin' Around the World". But I am going to leave it because DS's toe appears to be healing just fine.

Perhaps if I clean diligently I can go get a pedicure this afternoon as a reward. OK, really, I will go get a pedicure whether I clean or not. I sort of cleaned the master bedroom yesterday. I told DS he has to dust and vacuum his room today. We'll see what else I manage to do today.

I cleaned the hallway. That's a start, right?

DH just called and said he needs blue shorts. Not navy, but blue. What does that even mean? I do have a shirt to return to Macy's so I guess I'll see what sort of blue (not navy) shorts they have. I have no idea what time the mall opens today. I guess we'll say 10 AM?

Returned the shirt. Bought some shorts for DH that look suspiciously like navy instead of "blue, not navy", but they ARE cargo shorts which he insisted on.

Got a pedicure. Bought 2 shirts at Ann Taylor.

Now I really have no excuse not to clean. Other than that I don't want to!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I decided I can't keep waiting for the Z-pack to work on my eye. The swelling is getting worse. I started the doxycycline, and I will continue on with the Z-pack, too. The doxycycline is the only thing that has ever worked. If the Z-pack was going to help, it would have helped by now!

I did Google to see what would happen if I mixed them. Apparently that combo is used to treat a certain STD. Glorious. I don't even want to know what the phamacist thinks of me.

Huh. Who knew the exhaust fan cover in the bathroom would just POP right off the wall like that?? Luckily DH fixed it. DS and DH helped me with some cleaning so I think we're in good shape now.

I packed my 2 new shirts.

DS loaded some music on his old iPod as a surprise for DH. Now DH will have something to do on the plane other than annoy me.

DH is pleased with his shorts. Whatever color they are.

I have looked over the packing list so I know what things still need to be tossed in the bag on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Argh! So frustrated that all of our friends are arriving before we are! I want to go NOW! Well, if my eye looked normal I would want to go now. Even with my eye still gimpy I kind of wish we were leaving sooner than Friday.

It isn't too painful, but the swelling is relatively ugly. Purple along the lashline. Hopefully that will resolve at least SOME before Friday. I am regretting wasting time with the Z-pack. I think I would have had better results without it.

DS had his Biology final today. I hope he did well.

Got DH's Visa Reward dollars moved to his card.

I need to go get the rest of the cash we need from the bank. That would be a very unfortunate oversight.

DS will probably be finished at 11 AM today, so it isn't even a half day. More like a quarter.

The pain and discoloration in my eyelid are much better, but it is still swollen. My boss said it doesn't look too bad, and she usually notices when it is gimpy. 6 more days of doxycycline. I think I may phone my Dr. today and chat with her about getting a 14 day course to bring with me. Because if I finish the medicine next Monday and my eyelid blows up Wednesday night, we will still have 10 days of the trip left.

Have to check in for our flight at midnight tonight. Hopefully I will get an agent who knows how to do everything that needs to be done. One upgrade on points (which should be fine). 2 upgrades NOT on points, applying the money we already paid for seats and some remaining gift card funds to the balance of the upgrade charges. It doesn't sound that difficult, but we all know how THAT goes. There is a chance I will have to call back at the 24 hour mark to do the upgrades that aren't on points. There is also a chance there won't be 3 business class seats open, which means paying for luggage.

One refund from the camera lens debacle has posted. Unfortunately, the lens that was shipped in error won't even make it back to the camera shop until sometime Thursday, so that refund won't be processed for another week or so.

I wonder if I can find sort of a bling-y patch? There was an ad in this magazine at the nail salon where the girl had this bright red/orange eye shadow - it looked horrid. But if I had some of THAT you would never know my eye was kind of purple.

DH is very pleased with the lens, now that he has one that works. He has vowed never to order from them again, but I have a feeling our days of ordering used lenses are just beginning.

I really need to go to the bank. I'll do that on the way to get DS.

Picked up DS, got the rest of the cash I think we'll need, got some lunch. Because I am VERY generous (and DS is VERY, VERY spoiled) we stopped at the Disney Store and I bought him a gift card.
