Don't answer the phone, it's her AGAIN!!

popcorn:: Fun report, keep it coming!

My DH hated the idea of a touring plan too........................until we used one. My muggle says having one (a loose one) does make the days go by smoother and more relaxing. :thumbsup2

Personally, I think they have stopped taking ressies, I have a thread on the resort board, and several people have posted that they can't get ressies through December. There is no way that the hotel can go from one day having all room catagories available to being completely booked. And for that matter booked for the rest of the year. I just find that hard to believe. I think, they have stopped taking ressies because of the construction and are trying to contain all guests to the side of the hotel with the least amount of noise.:confused3 Who knows????

That would be marvelous! And like you said they went from one extreme to the other in a very short time. It seems that so many are hesitant to stay at AKL during the construction so it does lead one to think they wouldn't be sold out.

Well I thought I would go ahead and post a few pictures to introduce the cast a bit more.

And here's a picture of what Splash Mtn ride looks like for our family.

And could you please note the enormous grin on the face of DH. Is this the man who says he could "give or take" WDW;)

Ktink, your DD's are beautiful. You must take them to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I can just see them all done up in their princess gear. Have fun for me too! I just don't think that my DS's would look quite as cute in the princess gowns :lmao:

:lmao: Thanks. I have always wanted to take them to BBB but I'm having a hard time deciding between that and P&P. The P&P party will be on 9/3. Someone tell me what to do?!?!

The P&P is an all night event I think. The BBB is only to get them done up to go out, i.e. nails, hair, etc. P&P does sound cool, I must admit. I personally would have to go for P&P as I have 2 sons. Sorry I couln't be of more help.

Oh no, do I see multiple changes between P&P and BBB?!?!?!?:rotfl: I looked into the BBB for my kids, but once I priced it out, 2 DDs @$45/ea. and 2DSs @ $10/ea., I decided to stick to the face painting. Last year we had their faces painted and they were soooooo cute. We even had people stop us to take pictures of my kids (I thought it was kind of odd, but obviously they know cute kids when they see them so how could I say no). The face painting is pricey, especially since it smears and comes off with water, but it is something we never do at home. We can (and do, especially for b-day parties) go have hair and nails done, so face painting is a real treat. Best of luck with your decision. Maybe you can add face painting to your list of choices.:rotfl2:

BTW, your kids are precious. There seems to be several similarities between our families, I also have a brown headed DD (she's 8 though) and my princess DD6 is a blondie, and my DH doesn't appear to any magic before the trip, but is all smiles during the trip. There is 1 (or 2) differences I also have 2 DS5. Any plans on twins? heee heee heee

ktink, PrejeanPrincess sure does like to stir up trouble!! :rotfl:

Your girls are darling.... they look like princesses. No wonder Dad has a hard time saying NO!!!! ;)

Thanks everyone for the comments on the kiddos, I'm kinda partial to them. :goodvibes

prejean princess, that's so funny that you mentioned the face painting. DD 6 like I mentioned before is a spitfire and rarely sits still. They really enjoyed getting their faces painted when we were at AK. Here's a picture of how motionless she was. It just cracks me up because she is never THIS still.:goodvibes

Here's a pic of DD 11 too.

I don't mean to pick on DH so much but... you'll never believe what he just asked me?!? He told me that he needs a new pair of crocs for this trip!:lmao: That cracks me up on SO many levels. First of all the man refused to wear the shoes when I first bought them a couple of years ago. He said they weren't manly enough.:rotfl2: Whatever;) But it also tells me that he is putting forth alot of thought to our trip! He also has started talking more about the trip since I've not been asking him all the questions. So that's a step in the right direction.

I wish yall could hear this beautiful seranade that I've got going on right now. DD 6 has a friend over and they're watching Cheetah Girls 3 and they are singing to the top of their lungs. And they are dressed up and sistahs are busting a move. :dancer: :dancer: They've got the Bratz microphones out. :lmao:

So anyway the next method of operation will be quite legnthy. I'm in the process of planning our flights. I'm checking all of the major airlines daily but not finding the prices I want. However, this happens every year. For the past 3 years SW has always "dinged" on the weekend before the 4th of July. So I still have awhile before that happens. Wish me luck.

Also please feel free to drop any ideas or suggestions.

I am still trying to get my flights also...it is so frusterating but I am trying not to sweat it either since SW always drops their prices.

Your girls are adorable and I love the picture of them with you DH on Splash Mtn that is a true Disney smile.

Can't wait to read more.

It is very frusterating to wait on great air fare.
Have you looked over on the transportation forum? They have a thread w/ the historical dings that can really give you a heads up on when the prices will drop for your time frame.

After alot of thought and posting a thread over on the theme park forum.;) I came to the conclusion to go ahead and purchase the tickets for the pirate: princess: Party! This will be a complete surprise for the girls. And what I plan on doing may seem a little cruel but I think it will make the surprise even better.

The pirate: princess: is on our second night. The first night we will be going to MK and this is also their extra magic hours night. So we will be there very late. We will sleep in the following morning and just hang out at the resort. I think we'll relax by the pool and do some resort exploration. I'm going to let the girls think that we're not going to the parks on this day, that's the cruel part. Anyway we have an ADR @ O'hana at 6:45 p.m. so we'll leave the resort in time to go to O'hana and then we'll go straight over to MK which they won't be suspecting anything as we'll need to catch the bus to AKL.

Or if we do decide to run over to AK on in the afternoon to ride EE for the first time I can still surprise them. I would like for them to wear their Princess dresses and they've always chosen not to in the past so I'll have to tell them that they need to dress up for our dinner.

Anyway, I just wanted to share the good news! I really hope we get to see Captn. Jack Sparrow ;)

I am to nervous to wait for dings....I was happy w/ $196 RT from Chicago thats not bad and its United so we get some miles.....but I have read families get great deals with these!!!! Just keep watching!!! :)

So ktink....I didnt do BBB...I bought a $10 hair piece at the Everything POP store, a Pirates scrunchie..a little crown thing with a skull...she had her outfit picket out ( an I love Jack shirt bought at Disney store on clearance and I matched it with a skirt she had)....she looked like a pirate princess, she is 10 and out of the other phase:( anyway so many thought I took her to the BBB!!! She was happy!!
The good news is I read they are opening, if not already a BBB in MK!!! I cant imagine the manouvering to get from DTD, resort and back to MK!! I think its a once in a lifetime kind of thing to do with your girls:)
However, I was happy I saved lots of $ with a hairpiece!! I'll try to post a pic...dont know how, but will try in the next few days!!

Your girls are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! :)

ktink yeah!!!
THe fireworks are great at the P and P Party!!!! We never saw Jack, line too long!! The parade was awesome!!!! What a great surprise!!!

disneybride, thanks so much for the tip on the hairpiece. Both DDs already have the princess hairpieces from Libby Lu's that matched their hair color so that's great. DD 11 is out of the phase for sure so something like what you did would be great! Hope you don't mind if I copy cat that. DD 6 will be more likely to dress up if her sister does. You've made my day with the idea! Also I hope you're having a great time at your "DVC". Your DH is hilarious for coming up w/ that.

Our DHs sound so much alike. :rotfl: They like to moan about going to Disney but then supply their list of demands. :rotfl2:

Well DH just called from work and asked if I was on the computer. I'm such a loser.

So in 2005 we had dinner at O'hana. After a Lapu Lapu I had magically mustered up enough courage to ride Splash Mtn. It was on! I wasn't scared and was ready to take the ride on, woman to Mtn. But I lived to tell the tale and my mission is to conquer the fear of Splash Mtn. I hate free falls:scared1: But I, at this time and it's subject to change, intend on riding Splash Mtn until I learn to like it.

Hello! I have a suggestion for you......TWO LAPU LAPU'S:banana:    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: OR THREE just to be sure!

I love your trippie! My DH said no to the crocs....ok I say...suit yourself....but my dogs arent going to be howling at the end of the day :cool2:

Love the idea of Pirate and Princess Party. I don't know if I realilzed the date, is it the 3rd? I have boys but we just saw the Pirates 3 and we loved it. My DS(6) would love to run around yelling ARRRGH all night! (So would my DS(12 and my DH :) ) Times like these make me wish I had a DD ...just kidding, please don't send any pixie dust, my husband would flip  ) By the way, I love the idea of making it a surprise. :thumbsup2 Isn't it cool when a dream trip for the kids is full of surprises along the way?
