DONE: Armed Forces Salute

Besides Steve's Blog, I am following a new FB page called Save the Armed Forces Salute. The admin has apparently spoken with someone about keeping/extending the program and updates when she has info.

I don't mind even losing the room discounts, because Disney offers room only discounts a good bit of the time anyway, it's the tickets that are the largest expense for us.

I follow your blog/facebook page, and I soooooo hope you're right! I am trying to plan a trip for April so I am just going to budget it like there is no discount at all, and then anything will be a bonus- plus hoping there will at least be general public discount since its during the value season.

I hope they bring it back. The men and women who serve our country are making such a enormous sacrifice and this is an opportunity for them to have an affordable vacation and have some much needed quality time with their family.

It would be amazing if Disney extend the offer (even with a price increase).

I have done 3 trips because of the amazing ticket and hotel discounts. (1 just the wife and I, 1 the wife, ds, I and grand parents, 1 with 8 adult and 2 infants extend family trip). And my mom is currently planing a 4th trip this Sept/ Oct time. She is also hoping WDW extends the AFS for a trip in JAN to celebrate my brother's divorce (5th trip)

Only the trip with the wife and I would have happened with out the special ticket/ hotel prices.

I'm sure there will be a price increase, after all the $138/$165 are the prices from the 2010 offer which was extended through this year.

But even with an increase it will be the absolute best offer going for our military community!

The hotel discounts have been my favorite part and we used them extensively. We are lucky to be at a Florida base and so upgraded our last set of AFS tickets to FL Seasonal Passes for the cost of buying a second set of AFS tickets.

If I had known we were going as many times this year as we have, we would have gotten regular APs, too. We thought we were only going once, which has turned into 3 times if we get to go over Labor Day weekend.

we got to use the AFS this year, what a great deal it is! I sent Disney A letter when we got back, to tell about some special moments in our trip and to thank them for the AFS, had it not been for it we might not have been able to take the trip this year. I really hope they extend it or offer something like it again!
